Ubuntu keep getting worse with every release. I'm running Emacs as a server and I have to systemctl restart it every time I login... For some reason it doesn't start up correctly by default. |

I suspect that the startup is running as root when it should be run as my user. |

Dyrcona: good luck! I'm playing with Linux Mint (after a stint with Pop!_OS) - Linux desktop is starting to become usable. LOL. I know you all have been using Linux desktop for decades, but it's never been good enough for my taste. Until recently! Go Linux! |

Bmagic: Pop OS wasn't fruitful? |
10:56 |
mantis |
or did you just want to change? |

Pop!_OS was fruitful for the most part. It's a Debian derivative, same as Mint. I had trouble with a video game. It stuttered and crashed ransomly. I'm not sure I can blame Pop!_OS, but I used that as my first test when testing an OS install. And I got it to work flawlessly on Mint, so I proceeded to install more and more of my applications, and it kept working. So, I'm rolling with it for now |

I will likely format (or swap HD) when Cosmic Desktop is out of Alpha release (Pop!_OS (System76) is working on), lots of buzz, and I'm excited for it. |

can anyone with a current database see if money.billing amount is still NUMERIC(6,2) before I open an issue? It looks like asset.copy cost is NUMERIC(8,2) along with many others. I'm not coming up with any migrations that seem to alter the billing amount to match the cost / price fields. |

eby: it's still numeric(6,2) in my system |

Because of our workflow with Evergreen, I often find it easier to make a new branch based on current main and cherry-pick my changes from an old branch rather than doing a rebase. |
15:17 |
Dyrcona |
In this case, maybe not so much... :( |
15:19 |
Dyrcona |
Sometimes it's easier just to do the changes by hand again. |
15:28 |

I can see myself doing a "cherry-pick is good, actually" rant in the right context |

jeffdavis: In my case the conflicts looked the same, so I just checked out the previous commit of the file and changed the one line by hand. |
