08:49 KlLibGuest Hi!  I am new to the library game and started as a Collections Manager over purchasing and technical services about 9 months ago.  My predecessor had an enormous bag of labels for our Zebra printer that have two labels side by side.  One is a spine label (1.5"x1") and the other - I believe - is a pocket label (1.5"x2 5/8").  We are down to the
08:49 KlLibGuest last two rolls of labels.  I have looked extensively online for replacements and called Zebra to see if they had any recommendations, but to no avail.  There are no brand or product number markings on the rolls whatsoever.  Have any of you used labels like these or know where I can order them?

08:56 rfrasur Do they have continuous feed holds on either side?
08:56 rfrasur Like these? https://www.demco.com/demco-reg-gaylord-reg-continuous-processing-labels-style-dra
08:58 KlLibGuest They do not.  It's just the labels with no holes, perforations, or any other markings.  I will look at the ones you linked to in case they might work, though!
09:01 KlLibGuest Unfortunately, the Demco labels aren't the right size.
09:02 rfrasur Good luck.  You might check with your purchasing person/department and see if they have an old invoice.
10:35 KlLibGuest Thanks @rfrasur for your suggestion!  I was able to find an invoice in my predecessor's files (from 5 years ago).  In case anyone else is ever looking for them, here is a link: https://www.bayscan.com/dynlabttpbls-spine-book-label-set.html.

11:17 rfrasur rjackson_isl_hom, just as an FYI, I'm going to delete all pre-cat holdings with a create date prior to 4/12/2021.
11:26 rfrasur rjackson_isl_hom, can I also get a count the number of fine free libraries?
11:39 rfrasur Oh, everyone else.  Sorry.  Wrong window.
11:40 rfrasur Unless y'all wanna send me your fine free stats.

12:01 stephengwills Query: In the Server & Staff downloads page. /egdownloads the OpenSRF Software version for EG_3.8 is listed a 3.2.1, is that a typo or is there a compatability problem between EG_38 and OpenSRF 3.2.2?
12:04 jihpringle joined #evergreen
12:04 Dyrcona stephengwills: I doubt it. The upload page just wasn't updated.
12:04 stephengwills assumed as much, just being cautious
12:04 stephengwills tx
12:04 Dyrcona Heh, upload/download. :)
12:13 jvwoolf Has anybody out there successfully been able to add more payment details to either the "Bills, Current" or "Bills, Historical" receipts?
12:35 stephengwills My experience: While making extras for OpenSRF 3.2.2 on ubuntu-focal crashes, unable to find python-pyxmpp.   OpenSRF 3.2.1 make extras doesn’t support ubuntu-focal
12:35 stephengwills will drop to 18.04 for now.
12:41 Dyrcona stephengwills: I usually install OpenSRF master. I know it works on focal.
13:06 jeffdavis looks like python-pyxmpp was only ever packaged for 18.04
13:07 jeffdavis also looks like pyxmpp has been superceded by pyxmpp2, which is python3-compatible
13:08 jeffdavis *superseded (I studied Latin, I should get that spelling right)
13:14 JBoyer A commit went into master to throw away the abandoned python stuff but hasn't made it into a release yet
13:16 Dyrcona Yeah, I was going to mention what JBoyer said.
13:16 Dyrcona We dropped the Python code because Evergreen doesn't use it, and as far as could be determined no one was using. Same thing with the Java code, which would not build since 2014 or earlier.
13:22 mmorgan jvwoolf: We haven't done much with the bill receipts. What details are you trying to add?
13:34 jvwoolf mmorgan: Ideally, we'd like to show the level of detail that the billing statement shows. So if there were cash payments, show those individually;  if there was an adjustment, show that individually and so on

15:06 JBoyer #topic Evergreen Release Updates
15:06 miker not really ... I have a beta tarball (and there's a branch pushed) but I still need to get it onto the server for download
15:07 miker RC1 is next Wednesday
15:07 miker if anyone could confirm that the beta tarball looks correct (once I get it up for download), I'd appreciate it
15:08 JBoyer Ah, haven't made that particular hotkey mistake in a little while. :/
15:08 JBoyer miker++
15:08 miker mainly to make sure I've built it properly, so I don't make a broken RC and .0

15:12 JBoyer Take it away, mmorgan
15:12 mmorgan Just wanted to keep this on the radar.
15:12 mmorgan We're really missing this feature!
15:12 terranm FYI, I noticed during this BSW that we're running low on bug fixes that can really be tested from the client side. Many of the remaining patches need review from the developers
15:13 terranm mmorgan++ we had to hide the buttons in our opac, too
15:13 JBoyer (Kind of) a good problem to have.
15:14 mmorgan miker's patch works for the staff catalog, but doesn't help opac users :-(
15:15 JBoyer Does anyone have time to take a look at bug 1955079, possibly using miker's staff fix as a template as to how to address the opac?

15:16 JBoyer The #action command has not seen a lot of use of late.
15:16 miker I can put it on my list to definitely look at pre-RC, but I can't promise a fix :(
15:17 JBoyer #action miker will look into 1955079
