csharp: So, it took longer with the triggers disabled. I guess less of this database was in memory at the time. I will try yet again, since the database were reloaded yesterday. |

"It" being the database upgrade with the updates to action.circulation and action.aged_circulation. |

berick: Looking at your new "Angular staff catalog 3.4 project docs update" wiki page: |

Hiya berick! You were asking for comments on what was missing from the page, and I was wondering about the status of aqcuistions in the new Angular Cataloging -> MARC Batch Import/Export page? I was told by jihpringle on Friday that "If staff want to create a purchase order or selection list from the MARC file it needs to be loaded via the Acquisitions -> Load MARC Order Records interface." |
11:51 |
devted |
I see the old interface is still available at /eg/staff/cat/catalog/vandelay |
11:53 |
berick |
devted: that's right, as it stands, the ACQ record import is still using the older Vandelay UI. migrating the ACQ bits to use the new Vandelay UI will presumably be part of some pending ACQ development work. |
11:54 |
berick |
didn't make much sense to integrate the Angular Vandelay stuff into the Dojo ACQ UI's... |
11:56 |
devted |
berick: Thank you. Do you know when that will be part of the officially scheduled "pending development"? I guess Sitka's docs will document changes |
11:58 |
devted |
I mean, to deprecate that part of Dojo ACQ UI, since work is to move off of Dojo |
11:58 |
berick |
hm, I guess I'm thinking more about the embedded Vandelay UI that appears when you chose Load Bibs and Items from an existing purchase order. |
11:59 |
berick |
devted: have you tried loading ACQ records from the newer MARC Import/Export interface? I can't think of any reason off the top of my head that wouldn't work. |
11:59 |
berick |
jihpringle would know better than me, though |
12:01 |
berick |
oh wait |
12:01 |
berick |
i see, there's no provider field |
12:01 |
berick |
for starters |
12:01 |
berick |
or picklist selector |
12:01 |
berick |
and other options.. |
12:02 |
berick |
i see, OK, well adding those options to a acq-flavored version of the new marc import/export could be done in advance of the full ACQ overhaul. |
12:03 |
berick |
devted: no, I don't know when it will be queued for development |
12:04 |
devted |
berick: Thanks; I haven't tried it myself yet. The purchase order has already been added and activated (they like to do that because the MARC batch import supports more options for holdings. I will refer people to the Dojo ACQ UI for now, but was wondering what might be unofficially/officially pending for later |
12:04 |
devted |
berick: Thank you... will relay the possibility of an acq-flavored version |
12:05 |
devted |
Do you know if there's a page discussing items for the future ACQ overhaul? |
12:05 |
berick |
devted: it's certainly on the general list of things that need doing. no one's run with it just yet, though. |

and by "general list of things" i just mean the dojo/etc to angular migration. |

Thank you, if you build it they will come! :-) Will pass on the info |

When retrieving an invoice via EDI, does the invoice file (acq.edi_message.remote_file) exist on the local filesystem at all? |
16:54 |
jeffdavis |
I need to re-retrieve an invoice, and not sure if it's just a question of deleting the previous retrieval attempt from acq.edi_message or if I also need to delete a local copy of the file somewhere too. |
16:56 |
berick |
jeffdavis: you should not have to delete a local copy |
16:58 |
berick |
if the previous iteration successfully created the invoice, then re-processing it will fail (duplicate inv_ident values) |
16:58 |
jeffdavis |
great, thanks berick |
16:59 |
jeffdavis |
In this case it looks like the invoice was not created, so just need to delete from acq.edi_message and hopefully it will work this time. |
