Interesting.... Since we turned on ExpiresActive sitewide a few libraries reported issues with the traditional opac when used via the staff client. |

Oh! Reading the documentation, ExpiresActive uses these contexts: server config, virtual host, directory, .htaccess. Looks like it won't work from a Location. |

Dyrcona: that ... seems (weirdly) correct. I'm not sure why 'access plus X' wouldn't work properly for <location>s (that's all client-side timing), but I can see why 'modified plus X' would need an FS-backed timestamp. I guess they just went with the same restriction on both forms |

I'm also not entirely sure if directory context includes locations, but experience suggests that it doesn't. We've had reports of cache-related issues with loading some files that didn't have them before. |

eeevil: Location is processed after Directory and .htaccess according to the documentation, so I guess that means ExpiresActive will do nothing in a Location block. I'll probably LP that. |
