10:35 mantis does Did You Mean searching work in the EG KPAC?
10:42 redavis csharp_ ^
10:51 berick https://gapines.org/eg/kpac/home
10:52 abneiman mantis: it should - https://docs.evergreen-ils.org/docs/latest/opac/using_the_public_access_catalog.html#did_you_mean
10:59 sandbergja joined #evergreen
11:01 csharp_ redavis: eh?
11:01 csharp_ oh
11:01 csharp_ mantis: terranm doesn't think it does
11:01 redavis csharp_ mantis had a question that pines is probably best positioned to answer.
11:01 csharp_ redavis: yeah, I finally understood :-)
11:02 redavis csharp_++ # it was never in doubt. I only answered because you asked; not because I didn't think you'd already figured it out.
11:08 ianskelskey Is anyone experiencing slowness when batch importing MARC files from Hoopla?
11:11 Bmagic ianskelskey: I've not heard from anyone having that specific issue. Is it slow with a non-electronic bib record
11:12 csharp_ ianskelskey: slowness with the import itself, or general system slowness?
11:14 ianskelskey It only seems to be slow with Hoopla records and its slowness with the import itself. Functioning as usual otherwise
11:21 mantis re: KPAC did you mean, I have tried out a few iterations of incorrectly spelled search terms and did some title searching - I didn't get any Did You Mean results
11:27 jihpringle joined #evergreen
11:31 csharp_ ianskelskey: could be an import profile thing
11:32 ianskelskey What do you mean?
11:41 csharp_ ianskelskey: not sure what import method you're doing but there are match sets and merge profiles within vandelay that the UI import and some scripty tools use
11:41 csharp_ may not be relevant in your case - just theorizing
11:44 ianskelskey I'm just gathering any information I can before I start looking at code/custom solutions so I appreciate it. I'll run it by our cataloger and see what she says.
11:51 ianskelskey It looks like the match set is Hoopla and the merge profile is full overlay if that means anything
11:54 ianskelskey We've been running a test with 100 records and its been running for over 2 hours so far with about 65 complete.
11:56 jihpringle ianskelskey: it might be worth looking at what your Hoopla match set is matching on compared to other match sets you have
11:58 collum ianskelskey: ^ In the MARC Batch Import/Export screen there's a tab for Record Match Sets.  You can find how Hoopla is defined through that interface.
11:59 ianskelskey Is there something in particular I should look for there. I was in that screen recently poking around.
12:01 jihpringle others would know better, but my guess is that the more operators involved and tags being looked at the longer things will take
12:06 ianskelskey It looks very simple and similar to others that work. One operator and one attribute as far as I can tell. We suspect that the duplicate 856 fields on Hoopla records are somehow contributing to the issue. I'm not sure why that would be. This is an area of evergreen I haven't worked with yet.
12:31 csharp_ ianskelskey: make sure you check the PG logs for durations and you can grab the SQL to EXPLAIN or EXPLAIN ANALYZE
12:31 csharp_ possible some surgical indexing approaches would help
12:33 csharp_ opendkim is still not working on the list server - looking for troubleshooting approaches :-/
12:34 csharp_ opendkim-testkey: 'default._domainkey.list.evergreen-ils.org' record not found
12:34 csharp_ something's not lining up - could be a typo somewhere or bad perms/ownership

13:08 jeff csharp_: the DNS record you provided had a different label. It's at default._domainley.evergreen-ils.org.
13:09 jeff er, typo mine.
13:09 jeff efault._domainkey.evergreen-ils.org.
13:09 * jeff sighs
13:09 jeff default._domainkey.evergreen-ils.org.
13:09 jeff you got the idea on the first one, I'm sure.
13:13 csharp_ I'm assuming the TXT record needs to be added to the subdomain?
13:13 csharp_ (looking at what I sent to the BOFHs
13:13 csharp_ )
13:14 jeff It shouldn't need to be, I was just pointing out that your "record not found" above was looking in the wrong place.
13:17 jeff depends on what you're signing as, I suppose!
13:17 csharp_ I set it up to live at list.evergreen-ils.org, which is where the private key is - now I'm super confused
13:18 csharp_ indeed 'dig default._domainkey.evergreen-ils.org TXT' shows the DKIM key
13:19 csharp_ I am expecting it to be at default._domainkey.list.evergreen-ils.org

14:26 csharp_ jeff: berick: make sure to resubscribe to any lapsed lists - let me know if I can help with anything
14:27 csharp_ JBoyer: looks like you may have been disabled on evergreen-commits too
14:29 berick say what now?
14:30 csharp_ berick: I got a message that your email was disabled on evergreen-commits because DKIM checks were failing for gmail
14:30 JBoyer csharp_++ Will check
14:30 csharp_ berick: just forwarded the message
14:35 berick fun.  reset password => we have no such account; resubscribe => says i'm already subscribed
14:35 csharp_ berick: uhhh
14:35 csharp_ Dawn was having the same issue
14:36 csharp_ I'll add that to my to do - meanwhile I'll add you back, berick
14:36 berick thanks csharp_

15:06 jeffdavis bots--
15:06 jeffdavis (no offense, pinesol)
15:06 Bmagic bots-- # indeed
15:06 Bmagic bots-- # for good measure
15:06 Bmagic @karma
15:06 pinesol Bmagic: Highest karma: "Dyrcona" (289), "abneiman" (186), "berick" (182), "Bmagic" (180), and "redavis" (152).  Lowest karma: "comcast" (-11), "bots" (-7), "typos" (-5), "apple" (-5), and "dojo" (-4).  You (Bmagic) are ranked 4 out of 241.
15:07 Bmagic comcast beat bots. That might be right, but IMO bots need to beat comcast
15:07 jeffdavis "let's you and him fight"
15:08 Bmagic bots--
15:08 Bmagic @karma bots
15:08 pinesol Bmagic: Karma for "bots" has been increased 0 times and decreased 8 times for a total karma of -8.
15:09 Bmagic I'm not so sure about these computer-thingy's, clay tablets and fabric and paper might prove to have been the pinnacle of human civilization
15:09 berick bots-via-comcast = negative karma singularity
15:10 jeffdavis feel like Chris would be happy to see them disappear into a black hole together
15:11 berick oh yeah, this might just work itself out
15:12 jeffdavis :D
15:12 Bmagic Last year we crossed the 50% threshold for number of humas<->bots using the internet. Bots are now 60% of the internet traffic. I say we let them have it, and we start a new internet. Call it a learning expierement and learn from our mistakes.
15:15 jeffdavis bring back the dynix-style telnet opac!
15:16 berick if i thought people would really use it i'd make one for evergreen
15:18 jeffdavis it's on my "fun projects I'll never get around to" list
15:24 collum This should help.  https://www.angelfire.com/nc/plcmc/
15:26 berick ah, my eyes!
15:27 jeff csharp_: same or similar issue here. "forgot password" and providing my email address results in an email that begins "Hello from example.com!" and informs me that "we do not have any record of such an account in our database". I'll use myself as a guinea pig and take a look later.
15:30 jeff csharp_: I created a new account, confirmed my email address, and logged in successfully. The new account lets me access and manage my pre-existing subscriptions.
15:31 jeff It's not clear from the list of lists, but opening the details of each list I'm subscribed to lets me see that the delivery status of Evergreen-commits was "Disabled by Bounces", and lets me re-enabled it.
15:33 jeff looks like selecting "List-based preferences" after logging in is the easiest way to see which of your lists may be in a disabled status.
15:40 jeff that appears to be the expected behavior:
15:40 jeff > Mailman 3 has a completely new account management system, none of the passwords from Mailman 2 will work with Mailman 3. Each user needs to sign up in Postorius for a new account to manage their memberships on all lists on a single instance.

15:50 JBoyer I like the one-account-many-email thing it does now.
15:52 JBoyer Would be good to find what setting is still set to 'example.com' because that'll be confusing to new folks.
15:53 csharp_ JBoyer: I've grepped the holy heck out of things, but example.com is everywhere in the web code
15:53 csharp_ it's on my to-do list :-/
15:55 csharp_ I'm happy we're on a nicer version of mailman, but I don't like the forced upgrade part of it
15:55 csharp_ but I'd rather be on a supported OS than not
15:57 JBoyer 100%
