Stupid MUA, trying to be helpful....I meant the -request email, not the main list email.... |

Dyrcona: yesterday, re function defs, \df+ function.name(param-types-if-polymorphic) |
| 12:03 |
eeevil |
or \ef+ to open in your $PGEDITOR |
| 12:04 |
eeevil |
or, just \ef, I guess, no + on that |
| 12:04 |
Dyrcona |
eeevil: I tried \df+ and don't recall seeing the function definition. |
| 12:04 |
Dyrcona |
Maybe because it was a trigger function? |
| 12:08 |
eeevil |
trigger functions are just functions that have a return type of "trigger", so \df+ works. I find \df+ unusable unless I'm in \x mode, but usually end up using \ef to have access to my vim env... our functions tend to be Big(tm) ;) |

OK. I'll see what happens next time. |

Launchpad might be tricky. I want to send my Evergreen bug email to my CWMARS address, but everything else should still go to my personal email. I may need a new Launchpad account. |

Iam a fan of \sf, though it wants a param list if there's more than 1 func with the same name |
| 12:10 |

Also, pong Dyrcona |

eeevil |
whoa... Dyrcona, I totally lied to you, and \df+ has changed recently! sorry 'bout that. |
| 12:14 |
Dyrcona |
eeevil++ That's what I thought had happened. |
| 12:14 |
eeevil |
JBoyer++ # \sf+ is the way |

should upgrade his postgresql-client, apparently! |

And, Launchpad wants to be slow all of a sudden. |

All right. We'll see where bug email ends up. |

So, if you're upgrading, it seems like deleting /openils/var/web/eg2/* helps.... Old files apparently can interfere with new functionality. |

Does anyone filter launchpad bug emails in Gmail into a label? What I'm trying doesn't work. |

I often do. One moment. |
| 16:28 |
jeff |
You're looking to filter all launchpad bug emails? |
| 16:29 |
jeff |
Looks like I have a simplistic search: bugs.launchpad.net "Evergreen Bug Wranglers" |
| 16:31 |
Dyrcona |
jeff: I'd like to emulate this from Exim filters: $header_X-Launchpad-Bug: matches "product=(evergreen|opensrf|sipserver|ncipserver)" |
| 16:31 |
Dyrcona |
But looks like Gmail can't do that. |
| 16:32 |
Dyrcona |
JBoyer gave me an example that matches on the replyto address. |
| 16:34 |
Dyrcona |
With something as "sophisticated" as Gmail and a company as large as Google, you'd think that it would support standard sieve filter syntax, but of course not. |
| 16:35 |
jeff |
the intersection between "headers that launchpad sets" and "things that Gmail can filter on" is annoyingly sparse. |
| 16:35 |
jeff |
what does your reply-to search look like? I thought I'd used that with success before, but didn't get it to work on my first try fresh. |
| 16:35 |
Dyrcona |
It does an OK job with lists. |
| 16:36 |
jeff |
yep, if the expected headers are set. |
| 16:36 |
Dyrcona |
I haven't tried it, but this is what JBoyer shared with me: "Matches replyto:bugs.launchpad.net" |
| 16:36 |
jeff |
the "filter messages like this" option in the menu is a promising sign when faced with filtering something new, and does often save some work, but alas, does not appear here. :-) |
| 16:37 |
Dyrcona |
It always chooses the from email address which is <bug#>@bugs.launchpad.net. |
| 16:37 |
jeff |
ah, yep. also works with the narrower replyto:bugs.launchpad.net |
| 16:37 |
jeff |
undocumented. |
| 16:39 |
Dyrcona |
I guess that I'll go with that and throw all of my Launchpad bug email in 1 folder. Since I'm using Ubuntu less, it should mostly just be evergreen-related in the future. |
| 16:39 |
Dyrcona |
I'm preparing to change the hosting for my personal email, so I'm moving Evergreen stuff to cwmars.org. Who knew it would be so much work? ;) |
| 16:49 |
Dyrcona |
replyto:bugs.launchpad.net in the "Has the words" box works for me. |
| 16:49 |
Dyrcona |
Thanks, jeff and JBoyer! |
| 16:49 |
* Dyrcona |
signs out. |
| 16:49 |
jeff |
there's a fair bit of project info in the body, hence the addition of "Evergreen Bug Wranglers" in my filter |
| 16:49 |
jeff |
adios! |
| 16:51 |
jeff |
other candidates include "Status in Evergreen", "https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/bug", etc (all combined with replyto: or similar) |

fellow list.evergreen-ils.org admins, I'm told by ITS that LetsEncrypt should be able to connect now - I'm out this week, but if someone has the time/inclination to try and get that cert installed and the mailmanweb stuff mmoving that would be awesome |
