I think the answer is No, but can a custom-filter be applied to an action trigger hook that is not passive? Like hold.available? |

Well, that's neat. Somehow my local git repo has no copy of a file that I renamed (under the old name), but my remote repos have the file under both names, and git clams that they're all up to date. |

Dyrcona |
And, they all have the same commit hash.... :) |

Ah ha! Stashed delete from the file rename in my local repo. Guess using git from my editor didn't work out quite right. |

Does anyone know if EBSCO requires SFTP or something for EDS uploads? The FTP appears to be not working last night/today. |
15:53 |
csharp_ |
Dyrcona: been a while since we did exports to them but my script only ever did FTP |

Dyrcona: I know we've had problems recently with EDS uploads, but don't know the details. I can see if mdriscoll knows more. |

FTP doesn't seem to work today. I managed to login and get a file listing for one of our accounts, but then it timed out when I tried to upload a file. After that, ftp "hangs" when I entered the password for either account. |

Dyrcona: mdriscoll had to upload the last by hand. It's not resolved yet. She says EBSCO now wants all the files to be uploaded in one session. |
16:27 |
Dyrcona |
Well, that complicates things. Thanks again, mmorgan++ |

Dyrcona: EBSCO does have an SFTP server now. Should be same username and password. I was able to sftp and ftp just now to EBSCO. |

mdriscoll: Does sftp have the same single session requirement? |
16:42 |
Dyrcona |
(I just uploaded both of our files from last night in a single FTP connection, and was making notes about possibly scripting it.) |
16:44 |
Dyrcona |
I guess it can't because you can't change users with sftp. |
16:44 |
mdriscoll |
Dyrcona: Their support page says they will start processing the files once the ftp connection exits so yes, you have to do it in one session. |
16:45 |
Dyrcona |
You can't with sftp if you have different accounts like we do. sftp doesn't have a "user" command. |

I just connected to sftp.epnet.com with 1 of the account's credentials and see the file that I uploaded. I'll experiment with sftp for next time. |

Ebsco says you can upload as frequently as once per day so I think they automated things on their end recently. It broke the script that Blake was running for us. |
16:50 |
Dyrcona |
We upload once per week, but it is for two separate accounts with different credentials. If the connection limit is based on host alone, then that's a problem. Maybe SFTP doesn't have the same limitation? It shouldn't because you can't change users with SFTP like you can with FTP. |

I love it when vendors change things, and we don't find out until it breaks. We don't get notified at the consortium because we're not their customer. |
