So this is fun. I tried creating a branch-level Holds Pull List print template in the new Print Templates editor and even after clearing cache and restarting everything on the server and on my computer, every time I reload the page it picks up an old version of the template. I checked the underlying table, and only one row exists for the branch. |

The music is perfect! It looks like you were getting several different template versions?? It made me dizzy! |
11:43 |
terranm |
Yep - the current version says "Test 8" at the top, but it is apparently randomly pulling up earlier test versions from ... somewhere? No idea where. |
11:52 |

terranm: Two questions: 1. Are you using Hatch? 2. Have you tried clearing all data from the browser developer tools? |
11:53 |
terranm |
1) Nope, 2) - let me try that |
12:06 |
terranm |
Nope, that didn't work either. |
12:07 |
terranm |
Going to try on a different test server. |

I have OpenSRF debug level logs running on one of our servers and we've had a couple of instances of the open-ils.actor problem - going to keep it running throughout the day to see if we can collect enough data to help us figure this out |

I'm able to recreate the holds pull list problem on https://demo.evergreencatalog.com/ so I'll open a ticket |

miker: wondering if you're familiar with the settings around this mod in ejabberd: https://docs.ejabberd.im/admin/configuration/modules/#mod-stream-mgmt - particularly I'm noticing "ack_timeout" (default 1 minute) - do you think that might be at play in our issue? |
14:09 |
miker |
csharp_: seems unlikely, at a glance, but I'll look after this meeting :) |
14:09 |
csharp_ |
ok - thanks :-) |

seeing a lot of that in the debug logs - not sure if it's notable or just noise |
14:43 |
Dyrcona |
csharp_: That looks a socket() call timed out. |
14:43 |
csharp_ |
not sure what that means... |
14:44 |
csharp_ |
I'm looking at socket_bundle.c |

csharp_: How were things over the weekend? |
14:48 |
csharp_ |
fewer incidents, but still enough to disrupt |
14:48 |
Dyrcona |
select() timed, so it got no response in a specified amount of time. |
14:49 |
csharp_ |
could that be what "timeout" means in the ejabberd log? |

All right, I'm mistaken. select() was interrupted by a signal. |

I am noticing that these issues seem to happen within bursts across the servers over a 10-15 minute period |
15:46 |
csharp_ |
there was a burst around 11:00 a.m., 1:00, 2:30, and just now |
15:46 |
csharp_ |
might lend more credence to the "terrible cataloger causing everyone else trouble" theory |
15:47 |
csharp_ |
or holds pull list - that's been giving our libraries heartburn too apparently |
15:51 |
mmorgan |
csharp_: Maybe check the database for items, call numbers, etc. that are updated during those burst times? |
15:52 |
csharp_ |
good idea |
