09:46	rhamby	just to note I'm not sure how others are going to address testing bugs this week but my plan is to look at really old bugs and if I can't replicate it I'm more inclined to just mark invalid than note I couldn't replicate and leave in place

09:51	Dyrcona	I'm OK with Invalid if you can't reproduce them. It beats having to search the code to see when/if they were fixed.
09:52	Dyrcona	Old XUL bugs should maybe be set to "Won't Fix" but "Invalid" is fine for the sake of simplicity.
09:53	terranm	I've been using "Won't Fix" for things that have already been fixed or are no longer an issue, and "Invalid" for things like user error

09:55	rhamby	yeah, if it's obvious it was a xul issue I'll set to "won't fix" but I don't want to spend a lot of time chasing down details that in the end won't make a difference

09:57	Dyrcona	According to the FAQ, Invalid is the correct status for bugs that you can't reproduce.
09:58	rhamby	yeah, I was more concerned with the idea that sometimes we (the community we) have had a habit of just saying "hey I can't reproduce but maybe it's just me" and not marking it invalid, which I think is often the right thing but on 10 year old bugs I'm willing to be more dismissive
