I have a rather urgent question: why would acp.po_items be empty? |
09:04 |
* csharp |
checks his acq db |
09:04 |
mmorgan |
Dyrcona: our acq.po_item has 17 rows. Our acq expert is not sure it's used. |
09:04 |
Dyrcona |
I know it is used. |
09:05 |
Dyrcona |
I don't know all of the details but there is code that is processed when an invoice comes in that won't do certain things if po_items is empty. |
09:05 |
kmlussier |
Dyrcona: It would be empty if nobody was adding direct charges via the PO. But you know it's being used? |
09:05 |
csharp |
maybe it's non-copy-related |
09:05 |
csharp |
kmlussier: right |
09:06 |
kmlussier |
Let me double-check the database, but I think it's related to direct charges, right? |
09:06 |
Dyrcona |
Well, then, I don't know what someone's problem is. |
09:06 |
kmlussier |
What is the problem that was reported? |
09:06 |
mmorgan |
17 rows seems a very small number for us as we have several libraries actively using acq. |
09:06 |
csharp |
ours have entries like "3 rolls tape" in the 'title' column |
09:06 |
kmlussier |
Yeah, we find the most people add the direct charges from the invoice, but those direct charges are stored in another table. |
09:06 |
csharp |
(and we have 18 rows) |
09:07 |
* mmorgan |
is seeing similar to what csharp is. Jackets, etc., Shipping and Handling ... |
09:07 |
kmlussier |
For a while, there were problems adding direct charges from the PO, so people avoided doing it. Those bugs have been fixed, but only fairly recently. |
09:12 |
csharp |
I looked one up and it's under "Direct Charges, Taxes, Fees, etc." on the PO |
09:27 |
Dyrcona |
Thanks everyone. That must not be the issue. |

I'll have to dig into it on Monday. I've got a demo to attend this afternoon. |

10:19 |
jeff |
jboyer-isl: ouch. |
10:20 |
jeff |
i've never been a fan of stacking switches, though it's somewhat nice when the switches support stacking over a standard port. |
10:20 |
jeff |
though there are some architectures where a dedicated port (or just a 10 GbE port) has advantages. |
10:21 |

As best as I can tell there is something wrong with a template somewhere, but I'm not seeing any errors around the time frame |

yes, I've been trying to see if there is something wrong with them |

Hi! Just recently upgraded to Evergreen client version 2.7.5, and the shortcut key in Cataloging, CTRL-S, no longer brings up a window of selectable special characters that includes the copyright and published symbols. It's all accent marked foreign characters. Is there another shortcut for the special characters such as copyright, etc..? |
13:44 |
tsbere |
RyanM_: I think we added some of those to a local customization at one point. Maybe that had been done for you? |
13:45 |
RyanM_ |
I don't know. All I know is that a few months ago (Prior to this recent update [last week]) they announced that this shortcut was there, and now all the available characters are umlauted letters and the like, but no copyright or other symbol characters. |
13:46 |
RyanM_ |
It's the ultimate cataloging tease, to add the function and then take it away! |
13:46 |
tsbere |
We added an extra row as a customization. If that had been done pre-upgrade, but not maintained during the upgrade, you would have lost them |
13:51 |
RyanM_ |
Ah. Well, hopefully it is added back in then. |

with grouped formats turned on in a scoped search, EG includes bibs outside of the scope in the list of formats on each grouped result. Is that by design? |

I was just taking a stab at 1420509 which is why I asked the question to begin with because I wasn't totally sure it was a bug |
14:46 |
kmlussier |
Bmagic: My expectation is that, in a scoped search, the results page would only display icons for formats owned by the scoped OUs. |
14:46 |
kmlussier |
Whether it's by design or not, I don't know, but I would consider it to be a bug. |
