13:49 ohiojoe good day one and all
13:50 ohiojoe I'm in the process of installing opensrf for the first time, and seem to be stuck on step 10, creating the opensrf jabber users
13:51 ohiojoe each time I try to involk the command, it responds that it cannot register the user to be precise:    Can't register user router@private.egserver at node ejabberd@egserver:  not_allowed
13:53 ohiojoe I'm using Debian Wheezy in a VM on my desktop, so I don't have valid domain names to assign at the moment..
13:59 ohiojoe Does anyone have any thoughts on what I'm missing here?  Each time I am trying I am logged in as root..

14:11 jeff ohiojoe: private.egserver and not private.localhost?
14:44 gsams I'm still troubleshooting an issue with our Z39.50 server.  I have it up and running and can connect via yaz-client locally, but all attempts from outside fail with a "No such file or directory" error.
14:45 gsams I've double checked the firewall and the proper ports are listening
14:45 gsams As far as I can tell, literally nothing has changed.  But for some reason it no longer allows outside connections.

20:43 ohiojoe hello. Yes, I believe it's in etc/hosts..  I'll double check that.  Also, I started with just private.localhost and public.localhost, but started to try to pair to the system name after trying a couple of things to try to fix it
20:43 ohiojoe maybe I need to go back to the original in the instructions if it typically works..  my first thought was that it was a config or config/permissions issue..
21:11 jonadab Editing those xml config files is always fiddly.
21:12 jonadab It doesn't help that private srf, public srf, private router, and public router are not in a consistent order.
23:40 jeff ohiojoe: how's it going?
