Ugh. My test was still invalid. The mark item lost/overdue events did not run on one of the two test machines. |

However, the numbers are different for auto-renewal events between the two databases, so maybe something happened on the vm with ejabberd? |

I am able to reproduce issues with mark item lost events no actually modifying the circulation but the event getting set to complete with Redis and Lp 2116980 applied. |

I'm going to run just our overdue/mark item lost process on the Redis machine tonight to see if not running auto-renewals soon after makes a difference. |

I'm starting to suspect that the issue is the parallel settings for open-ils.trigger, and there's a thought in the back of my mind that I came to that conclusion some years ago. |

That's something that I can test over the next few days. |
