Can anyone point me in the right direction for this issue: newly cataloged items aren't filling holds until they are first checked in at their circ lib. They are cataloged at a different branch, and we want them to transit directly to the first patron hold instead of going "home" first |

Bmagic: The "Retarget local holds" and "Retarget all statuses" will retarget and capture holds where the pickup library matches the checkin library. I know that's not what you're looking for here. |

In order to get the item to transit to another branch, I think the only way is to find the hold the item would fill and choose "Find another target". Then do the checkin and it should go in transit. |

The staff claim that it's been working the way they want until recently. They've not received any server updates or db changes or setting changes. So maybe their cataloging it differently? |

for us new items generally won't be captured for holds within 24 hours of being catalogued unless staff manually re-target the hold |
