The Vandelay slowness I mentioned yesterday seems to be because the reporter.old_super_simple_record view is super slow, the bbb_simple_rec_trigger on biblio.record_entry (which does a lookup on that view) gets called during overlay, and for some reason vandelay.overlay_bib_record doesn't finish until the trigger is done even though it's an AFTER trigger. |

jeffdavis: JIT! I was about to ask that as I was reading and I see eeevil beat me to it. That is the exact function that suffers the most from JIT being turned on. It manifested for me when saving a bib in the staff client. It was so slow, that the interface would fail to save the marc record. |

I even commented on the bug at the time saying that disabling JIT fixed the issue for us (LP 2042158). Some days my memory is like a whaddayacallit. |
