On personal devices, I usually "upgrade Ubuntu" by buying a new hard drive when I move to a new LTS every few years. |

jeffdavis: On the work laptop, I use Ubuntu LTS releases. It upgraded from 22.04 to 24.04 this morning. On my personal laptops, I'm running Arch and Mandriva, so every time I update, it's like an upgrade. It's also pretty smooth most of the time. |
