assumes that the steps in the 3.7.1-3.8.0 db upgrade script are still the best for setting up symspell/did you mean. |

tries it on a vm with 16GB of RAM to see if the memory use issue was resolved. |
12:08 |
Dyrcona |
That was faster than it used to be |

Grr. Think I have to run an ingest on this database. I'm getting "empty" search results. |
12:29 |
Dyrcona |
Browse isn't working either. |

Oops.... omitted a word in an email. |

I'm getting "empty" results on another vm, but at least browse is working there. |

wonders if they're all doing that. |
12:58 |
Dyrcona |
So, the concerto dbs and the copy of production data upgraded to main are fine. This makes me wonder if it's a template issue rather than data? I've seen it go both ways. |

A search template or some other template? |

wonders if it would ruin everyone's Monday if we moved to Markdown instead of ASCIIdoc for our release notes |
13:03 |
sharpsie |
@blame sharpsie for ruining Monday for everyone |
13:03 |

sharpsie: sharpsie WILL PERISH UNDER MAXIMUM DELETION! DELETE. DELETE. DELETE! for ruining Monday for everyone |
13:04 |
rfrasur |
sharpsie, one cannot ruin a Monday. One can only build on the ruins that Monday already is. |

also prefers markdown, but whaddyagonnado |

rfrasur: search_result.tt2 most likely, but I think it's a metabib issue. |

./Open-ILS/src/templates-bootstrap/opac/results.tt2 or related. |

Imma make an assumption that asciidoc is cuz of the ability to add images/lists/tables/other stuff without converting to html. |
13:11 |
rfrasur |
and markdown requires an additional step for that stuff...apparently. |
13:11 |
* Dyrcona |
likes markdown for simple stuff and asciidoc for more complicated documents. |
13:11 |
* rfrasur |
is reading from Google search results and making assumptions. |
13:12 |
Dyrcona |
My guess is asciidoc because it has been around longer than markdown. |
13:13 |
Dyrcona |
On sharpsie's question, I think we should stick with asciidoc for release notes because we use asciidoc for documentation. I think it helps to keep it the same. |
13:13 |
Dyrcona |
If we switch both, I don't mind. |
13:14 |
Dyrcona |
And, this vm is still set to UTC..... |
13:17 |
Dyrcona |
Guess it's 17:17 somewhere.... |
13:20 |
Dyrcona |
Ok. It is not a template issue because I am getting results with browse search. |
13:28 |
Dyrcona |
Right. Browse search gives me multiple results if I click the author's name, but basic or advanced search give me back a screen with numbered results 1-10, the separator lines, and the Add to basket doobley-doo, but the book info is blank. |
13:28 |
rfrasur |
(doobley-doo, hehe) |
13:28 |
Dyrcona |
And, page 2 works..... :/ |
13:29 |
Dyrcona |
But... page 2 in this case has the entry for one of the books that shows up in browse search. |
13:31 |
Dyrcona |
It seems like every other time I reload test databases from a production dump search is broken. |
13:52 |
Dyrcona |
For the record, even browse is broken on one copy of production. |
13:58 |
Dyrcona |
Also, pingest is a lot faster on 3.7 than on 3.10. |

If my estimate is correct, the ingest on 3.10 won't finish before the end of the month. |
14:53 |
rfrasur |
Errrrrr. That feels problematic. |
14:56 |
Dyrcona |
I think so, since the database will be reloaded in fewer days than that. |
