Grr. I made patches again origin/tags/rel_3_7_3 and my custom branch. When I try to apply them to a copy of origin/tags/rel_3_7_3 some of them fail! That should not be! |
11:22 |
Dyrcona |
OK. It's only the templates that failed, and I think it is because the override directory was not created by the script. |
11:25 |
Dyrcona |
That fixed it! |
11:25 |

"Paprika! That will fix it!" :) |

Good morning #evergreen! |

Good moning, kmlussier! |

I don't know if anyone can answer my question here, but I'll give it a shot. |

I was interested in seeing if I could get some local interest in implementing a photography policy like the one you all have. I thought it would be easier to share the blog post I wrote years ago than explain the background of the policy. |

I noticed that my name is no longer on blog posts that I wrote for the community. I was curious if anyone knew why that was. |
11:49 |
kmlussier |
My name now appears to be Ever Green, which is a fun name, but was a bit of a surprise. https://evergreen-ils.org/mutual-respect-in-the-evergreen-community/ |

Huh? Really? |

I'll bet your blog account was removed or renamed. |
11:51 |
kmlussier |
I get that, but the things we publish on the web as part of our professional work also contribute to our professional reputation. |
11:54 |
Dyrcona |
Yeah. I understand. I was just had a look and I'm not sure I can find the users or user history, etc. |

OK, thanks for looking Dyrcona! I don't really expect an answer today, but I'll leave the question here in case anyone else wants to look into it. If there is any way to put it back (assuming that the account is being used for a number of people who have left the community), I would appreciate it. |
11:57 |
kmlussier |
Sorry, I meant to say is *not* being used for a number of people. |

Actually, scrolling through the posts attributed to that account, it most definitely represents more than one person. They go back to long before I was in the community. |

based on wayback machine snapshots, the change in attribution appears to have taken place between 2021-10-28 and now. |

Thanks for looking into that jeff! Maybe we can use the Wayback machine to restore some of these names. |

I was going to let it go for today, but this really isn't a good way for the community to acknowledge nine years of contributions from an individual. |
12:58 |
* Dyrcona |
agrees, or any amount of contribution, really. |
12:58 |
kmlussier |
What is more frustrating is that it appears to have happened to some inactive community members and not others. denials still has his name on blog posts, which I totally support, but it leads me to wonder why he was able to keep his name there and I wasn't. |

I hope you're doing well! We certainly miss you! Even when you ARE* the spy |
13:16 |

Bmagic: Oh, yes. I absolutely am the spy. You most likely will see me at the conference in April, and I will bring back everything I learn to my vendor. |

That too. |

I need to head out, but thanks everyone for listening to me vent. If I have time this weekend, maybe I'll do the legwork of going through the Wayback machine in the hopes that somebody with power can address this. |

Dyrcona, an FYI for you since I know we're both interested, I was testing NCIPServer on Buster and Bullseye and things seem fine without the patch from lp 1732485 . Have you tested things on Ubuntu 20.04+ |

(granted, I'm mostly throwing LookupUser requests at it with curl, but things work with and without the Content-Type: application/xml header. |

JBoyer: I don't think I have tested NCIP on Ubuntu 20.04+. I know that I have not tested it on Ubuntu 22.04. |

Possibly good news then, though i guess if you're not going to be managing the hosting it's not such a big deal locally. :) |

hmmm... Looks like we can lose a modification to the IDL. Either it was fixed or our change was unnecessary to begin with. I should try to figure out if we're using the field we added in any reports. |

I've corrected attribution for posts on the Evergreen website as of 2021-10-05. I further discovered that we have a snapshot as of May 2013 that would allow us to go further back, but I'm not tackling that just yet |

(for one thing, there was a time when post authorship was not displayed by default, and it looks like there was some inconsistency about the target user that posts got moved to) |
