09:29 terranm berick: For the Angular circ/patron interface testing, do you want me to copy over all the findings onto the LP ticket, or would it be easier for you to go off of the testing spreadsheet at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PL04fcjom0l2xuum_Do-w04asn-ifAEHwuBY6yWIESQ/edit#gid=0 ?

09:55 csharp_ berick: I was testing https://bugs.launchpad.net/opensrf/+bug/1970667 and saw a very long delay when installing ejabberd while running the OpenSRF Makefile.install - this is on a stock 22.04 machine - did you see simlar?
09:55 pinesol Launchpad bug 1970667 in OpenSRF "Add Installation Support for Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy Jellyfish" [Undecided,New]
09:57 csharp_ Created symlink /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/ejabberd.service → /lib/systemd/system/ejabberd.service.
09:57 csharp_ ... <several minutes delay> ...
09:57 csharp_ Could not execute systemctl:  at /usr/bin/deb-systemd-invoke line 142.
09:57 csharp_ I know that's not likely to be related specifically to Open
09:57 csharp_ SRF - just trying to confirm the behavior
10:00 csharp_ hmm - may be Ye Olde Apparmor problem with ejabberd
10:01 csharp_ @monologue
10:01 pinesol csharp_: Your current monologue is at least 8 lines long.
10:01 csharp_ tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow
10:33 berick csharp_: are you using linux containers by any chance?
10:33 berick terranm: i think spreadsheet would be fine
10:34 berick csharp_: I have to make these changes to the ejabberd service file every time, then daemon-reload, then restart:
10:34 berick file /usr/lib/systemd/system/ejabberd.service
10:34 berick PrivateTmp=false
10:34 berick ProtectHome=false
10:34 berick ProtectSystem=false
10:35 berick which could also be related to apparmor issues, not sure
10:39 csharp_ berick: running in a VM on my F36 laptop currently
10:39 csharp_ berick: thanks for that info - I'll take a look
10:44 JBoyer If you put those contents in /etc/systemd/system/ejabberd.service.d/override.conf then you can put that file in place before installing it and the initial delay should be gone also.

10:45 JBoyer And are you running the same OS / version in your vms as your host OS? If they share a kernel and it's not the same version the vm OS expects things can get weird with some security features.
10:46 csharp_ I'm running Ubuntu 20.22 in the VM (on gnome boxes/KVM/qemu) on Fedora 36
10:46 csharp_ that may be in play though
10:48 JBoyer See if what berick posted above is enough, but depending on the age of the kernel in Fedora and if you're using paravirtualization you may also need PrivateDevices=false and NoNewPrivileges=false
10:48 csharp_ JBoyer++ berick++ #thanks
10:48 JBoyer All of these go under a [Service] section if you use an override.conf

12:53 csharp_ @decide git blame or git blam?
12:53 pinesol csharp_: go with git blame

16:19 terranm You guys... we're actually running out of pullrequests to test! (Well, ones that end users can test anyway.)
16:25 mmorgan Wow! That's great!
16:25 mmorgan terranm++
16:28 JBoyer I won't be around tomorrow so pattypan and festivus are pretty much The Way They're Going To Be, but there are some good things to check out on both! Also that Hatch patch; you can test that against any server, not necessarily a testing one!
16:28 JBoyer and yeah, terranm++ Great work, it's much appreciated.
16:30 terranm JBoyer++ The multiple server refreshes definitely kept things moving this week!
