berick: Assuming no issues are found with your patch, how does the fix proceed? Does it just come down to an update to the Chrome extension? Just wondering if we should start loading the unpacked extension on affected workstations. |

mmorgan: once it's merged, I'll post it to the Chrome store. after that, the extension should automatically update in the browser. |

We did encounter this on a few workstations this week after our upgrade, but when I went looking for workstations to test on, there appeared to be none that still had the issue... so, I'm confirming that it doesn't break anything that I can see, the fix looks logical, and I'm relying on mmorgan and others to confirm that it is an effective fix. :-) |

I'm noticing on macOS that I have a few different "java" applications running now, but I don't think that changed in behavior between the current patch and previous. |
