We have got a question about MarkItemLost action triggers. Are those affected by closed dates at all? Like will Evergreen avoid doing the whole MarkItemLost procedure if the Library is closed that day? |

I don't think so. What makes you ask? |

jeff: we started checking most items out for a whole semester during COVID. Which is great, because we can plan for important circ dates! But which is also terrible, because now we *have* to plan for important circ dates. :-) |

"plan for important circ dates"? |

Like, have extra staffing on the days where literally every checkout is due back |

ah! |

Or, be mentally prepared for the day when everything is marked lost and we have angry patrons :-) |

Wanting to setup & test the new(ish) III Patron API thing, details for two of the steps in the docs leave a lot to be desired. What/where else might I find something on adding user activity types and remote authentication profiles? |

Doc in question is here: https://docs.evergreen-ils.org/eg/docs/latest/integrations/patron-api.html |

sandbergja: fwiw, all of our markitemlost triggers were turned off pretty early on. some have been turned on since, paying close attention to max_delay. we also did a lot of manipulating of due dates. and no, pretty sure it pays no heed to closed dates. |
