Does anyone mind sharing the Optimum SMS gateway if you have it? I'm having a hard time tracking it down. |

mantis: I found a thread on reddit which indicates that they use the ATT network. You could have the patron send you a text with your email address as the phone number to see where it comes from. |

keeping up with smaller SMS providers' gateways is not worth the trouble IMHO - when we have tried to get that information, even from the vendor themselves, it's a brick wall and we end up saying (nicely) "subscribe to a bigger provider" |

honestly surprised any of it still works :-) |

csharp: I did contact them to see if I can get the info, and it was like pulling teeth |

yes, they either have no idea what you're talking about or don't want to tell you for some reason |

mostly because they don't want you sending messages that way. |

I have been asked to delete all of the URLs for a single vendor "owned" by one of our libraries. That looks like it will hit around 61,350 records. Should I also profile the removal of URIs? |
12:08 |
mmorgan |
Dyrcona: We do that type of thing frequently, so it could be useful. My colleague who does this says such deletions take a very long time. |

csharp_: I've concluded that the providers of government-subsidized phones, are not contractually obligated to provide SMS gateways at all. |
12:09 |
jonadab |
And since their customers don't get to choose a provider, there's no incentive to provide anything that's not contractually required. |

mmorgan: All right. I'll add that for after I do the other things. |

jeffdavis: I've applied our fix to bug 1932051 and I'll be watching for the next couple of days to see if the open-ils.actor flood recurs - so far so good |

Great! Hope it works out. I'll likely be applying it here this week. |
