11:18 mantis Running on 3.5.4.  I had to hide items in a branch's collection because they are renovating so I made all opac invisible and unholdable filtered by a branch.  I also refreshed the database using asset.refresh_opac_visible_copies_mat_view().
11:19 mantis Now whenever searching in any branch and checking "Exclude Electronic Resources", it wipes out the search results.  Thoughts?
11:19 mantis This could be unrelated to hiding items.

12:24 mmorgan1 mantis: Did you make any changes to the org units? If so, have you run autogen?

12:48 jeff nothing jumps to mind, but worth noting that function and the mat view it refreshes should be unused on any Evergreen 3.1 or higher system. see bug 1831803.
12:49 pinesol Launchpad bug 1831803 in Evergreen 3.6 "asset.opac_visible_copies is unused and should be removed" [Low,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1831803
12:49 jeff I don't think running the mat view refresh would cause harm or cause the symptom you're seeing, it's just not necessary any more.
12:50 jeff do physical items appear in results before you check "Exclude Electronic Resources", or are all your physical holdings gone from search results?

18:57 brettgilio I am thinking of using Evergreen for my personal home library. Is that overkill? Also does it support any barcode scanner apps for cataloging?
18:59 jeffdavis brettgilio: Evergreen is probably overkill for a personal library. It's really designed for big library systems with multiple branches.
19:00 brettgilio jeffdavis: Do you have any suggestions for something more for the size i'm thinking of?
19:01 jeffdavis I personally use LibraryThing for tracking my own book collection, though it's a hosted service rather than open source software that you can run yourself.
19:02 jeffdavis There are other applications out there, I'm not sure what is current though tbh.
19:03 brettgilio have you used tinycat?
19:04 jeffdavis I have not. Others here have probably tried it out but most folks are on east coast work hours in here. :)
19:04 jeffdavis Are you looking to do checkouts and things like that?
19:04 jeffdavis Or just scan your books and have a personal catalog?
19:05 brettgilio Checkouts is secondary. Primarily just cataloging
19:05 brettgilio Definitely SOME checkouts tho
19:05 brettgilio (I'm a teacher)
19:13 brettgilio I settled on Tinycat
19:13 brettgilio Thanks jeffdavis
19:14 jeffdavis Good luck!
