The IRC search seems to have not been indexes since late last October and the Google search link doesn't work. (it never produces any results, and it bugged me with captchas to boot.) |
09:41 |
Dyrcona |
I'm talking about this: http://irc.evergreen-ils.org/evergreen/search |
09:46 |
csharp |
looks like ilbot is a dead project: https://github.com/moritz/ilbot |
09:53 |
Dyrcona |
Yes, it is. It should still work, though. |
09:55 |
jeff |
I can take a look at it tonight unless someone has time today. I suspect the Google deindexing will be a more involved fix. |
09:55 |
Dyrcona |
jeff: Thanks. I'm supposed to have the day off, but I'm dealing with upgrade aftermath. |
09:56 |
Dyrcona |
That's the trouble with "holiday" weekends. :) |
09:56 |
csharp |
Dyrcona: upgraded to 3.6 or similar? |
09:56 |
Dyrcona |
csharp: 3.5.3. |
09:56 |
csharp |
Dyrcona: congrats! |
09:56 |
Dyrcona |
...with curbside and a couple of other backports. |
09:56 |
csharp |
I'm happy to help however I can, just let me know |
09:57 |

I'm back from two weeks mostly off, first vacation, then each of my parents' health went to hell - still working on that but back for the moment :-/ |
09:57 |
Dyrcona |
It hasn't been bad. Something happened and the eg2 files didn't install, then curbside wasn't properly enabled, and there was a patch in 3.5.4 that didn't make it into our production branch that we needed. |
09:57 |
csharp |
ah - so normal post upgrade stuff |
09:58 |
Dyrcona |
Sorry to hear about your parents. I hope they make a speedy recovery. |
09:58 |
csharp |
thank you |
09:58 |
Dyrcona |
Well, for me, upgrades usually just work. :) |
09:58 |
Dyrcona |
I practice them so many times before. :) |
09:59 |
Dyrcona |
Also, the pre overdue notices blew up. I suspect a "patron" of exceeding the max stanza size. |
09:59 |
csharp |
same here, and our actual upgrade was fine, but lots of small but annoying issues resulting from simultaneous moves to eg2 catalog and new OPAC stuff |
09:59 |
Dyrcona |
That would have happened regardless. |
09:59 |
csharp |
"but my name actually has more than 255 characters, y'all |
09:59 |
csharp |
" |
09:59 |
Dyrcona |
Yeah, we decided to go to 3.5 after testing 3.6 on training. |
10:00 |
Dyrcona |
:) |
10:00 |
csharp |
good to be conservative |
10:00 |
Dyrcona |
I suspect it's the number of items and possibly title lengths. |
10:00 |
Dyrcona |
Probably a "speical" card that would be better handled with a status or copy location. |
10:02 |
Dyrcona |
If that's not it, then... I don't know...just one of those things. |
10:02 |
Dyrcona |
I'm going to wait until it blows up again before diving deeper. |
10:05 |
Dyrcona |
So far, it is processing the ones that got stuck in "collected" state last night. |
10:21 |
Dyrcona |
And, now, I'm told that staff cannot create a bib record: "Failed to create new record {{error}}" |
10:23 |
Dyrcona |
ERROR: Base class package "Class::Accessor" is empty.#012 (Perhaps you need to 'use' the module which defines that package first,#012 or make that module available in @INC |
10:25 |
Dyrcona |
In additon to that, there's a sever query error, but the Class::Accessor error could be the cause of that..... Hmm. Class::Accessor should be installed from before, and I did install prerequisites on all of the servers. |
10:27 |
Dyrcona |
Class::Accessor is present on the bricks and brick drones where the error is generated. |
10:33 |
Dyrcona |
Maybe the DB server needs it, now, for some reason. I ran apt update/upgrade on the db servers. You'd figure that would have been picked up, too. I don't see it in the makefile as being requred, so it should autoinstalled as a prerequisite for something else. |
10:41 |
Dyrcona |
Yeah, to answer my question: the maintain_901 function or one of the modules it uses needs Class::Accessor, now. |
10:41 |
Dyrcona |
I wonder... Maybe libclass-accessor-perl was autoremoved and I didn't notice? |
10:44 |
Dyrcona |
And, that resolved it. |

Ugh! Now, 1 of our SIP2 accounts isn't working, for a major vendor. Others that I've spot checked pseudo randomly seem to be working. |

I'm going to break the monologue just because 17 is a nice prime number to end on |
