[evergreen|Dan Briem] LP#1778522 Precat item creation should be more intentional - <http://git.evergreen-ils.org/?p=Evergreen.git;a=commit;h=d0a04a6> |

Hmm.. Got this from autogen.sh: Bad arg length for Socket::pack_sockaddr_in, length is 0, should be 4 at /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl/5.22/Socket.pm line 156. |

Services are running, and I can connect to the database. |
11:51 |
Dyrcona |
It' blowing up on this line: perl -MOpenILS::Utils::Configure -e "OpenILS::Utils::Configure::org_tree_js('$JSDIR', 'OrgTree.js');" |
11:53 |
Dyrcona |
Oh. I suspect that I need to fix the memcached info in opensrf.xml. |
11:54 |
Dyrcona |
Yeah. What works in production doesn't work here. :) |
12:00 |
rhamby |
just throwing this out there,, I'm tempted to say google analytics should be moved to an org unit seting instead of a being in config.tt2, not worth it due to upgrade hassles? |
12:00 |
rhamby |
thoughts? |
12:03 |
JBoyer |
rhamby, seems like a +1 to me. GA and Matomo might still be worth keeping in a separate .tt2 in case there's cause to customize them, but they may as well always be included and then enabled/disabled according to a setting most admins can actually reach. |
12:39 |
rhamby |
that was my thought as well, I'll file the bug and plan to work on it but not really high priority |

Sorry to come here with my troubles but our consortium just upgraded to 3.4 and we now are seeing issues with old reports as follows |
13:44 |
rjackson_isl_hom |
DBD::Pg::st execute failed: ERROR: could not access file "$libdir/plperl": No such file or directory at /openils/bin/clark-kent.pl line 255. |
13:44 |
rjackson_isl_hom |
is this because the report templates need to be recreated as a result of the upgrade or something is broken in our install? |
13:47 |
csharp |
rjackson_isl_hom: select * from pg_language ; - does that show plperl? |
13:48 |
csharp |
if not, create or replace language plperl; should do it I think |
13:48 |
rjackson_isl_hom |
shows plperl and 5 others |
13:49 |
rjackson_isl_hom |
including plperlu |
13:49 |
csharp |
if that doesn't work, verify that postgresql-plperl-<version> (postgresql-plperl-9.6 in our case) is installed |
13:49 |
csharp |
dpkg -l | grep plperl |
13:50 |
csharp |
(from bash, not psql, of course :-)) |
13:50 |
Dyrcona |
rjackson_isl_hom: Do you have a separate db server for reports? If so, check both them. |
13:51 |
rjackson_isl_hom |
that returns nada on reporter-prod server |
13:52 |
Dyrcona |
Well, you need to install the plperl package. Did you upgrade the O/S at the same time? |
13:52 |
Dyrcona |
I've seen that happen when upgrading Ubuntu with the PGDG repositories. |
13:52 |
rjackson_isl_hom |
I think alynn26 did |
13:53 |
rjackson_isl_hom |
so the perl pack needs installed most likely |
13:53 |

++ everyone in the big wide Evergreen support/community! |

postgresql-plperl-$version |
13:53 |
csharp |
yeah, you may need to update /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pgdg.list (or whatever the file is actually named) to the version of ubuntu you're on and uncomment the line |
13:54 |
Dyrcona |
Oh, yeah. That, too.... |

for any late night owls still on here having a terrible time trying to get triggered events created for our Daily autorenewals after upgrade to 3.4 |
18:19 |
rjackson_isl_hom |
looking t the logs I see the creates rolling by for the event definitions related to autorenewals |
18:19 |
rjackson_isl_hom |
but the action_trigger.event keys being shown are not actually created in the db? |
18:19 |
rjackson_isl_hom |
no errors AFAIK in log file for this run |
18:21 |
rjackson_isl_hom |
should the ids shown be created simultaneously, or, are they in a transaction awaiting commit (would be huge I would think if so) |
18:25 |
rjackson_isl_hom |
sorry guess I needed to wait it out - they now show in the db - must have been a big commit! |

rjackson_isl_hom: if you're still around, I have found this query to be helpful: https://pastebin.com/UjU1t3hc |
20:45 |
csharp |
you can throw that in a file with the correct event_def ID in the where clause, and use "watch" to track progress through the DB |
20:46 |
csharp |
e.g. "watch psql -U evergreen -f watch_at_events.sql" |
20:47 |
csharp |
but yeah, there's a big query at the start of the run that can take a while, then it should start creating events, then batching them together ("collecting"/"collected"), then finally processed ("complete"/"invalid") |
