OK. That was a mistake. I rebooted and had to drop to single user mode to fix initramfs for my encripted swap file. |
| 11:08 |
Dyrcona |
And, the thing that I rebooted for isn't working. I'll have to configure that again. |
| 11:11 |
Dyrcona |
Um... It just gets worse. |
| 11:13 |
Dyrcona |
I think I should have left swap enabled while installing updates, 'cause I'm getting messges that I haven't seen before regarding cryptsetup. I usually disable swap and update initramfs to fix the other messages. |
| 11:15 |
Dyrcona |
Well, we'll see what happens. :) |

Sometimes, this Dell doesn't reboot properly. I have to power it off and back on again. Sometimes reboot just works. |

We're getting an error trying to install Angular files. We get this error on the ng build --prod step: [error] Error: Could not find module "@angular-devkit/build-angular" |

| 14:27 |
jvwoolf |
npm ERR! code ERR_INVALID_OPT_VALUE |
| 14:27 |
jvwoolf |
npm ERR! The value "false" is invalid for option "readableHighWaterMark" |
| 14:28 |
jvwoolf |
On the npm install step |
| 14:28 |
JBoyer |
jvwoolf, That one is a ton of fun. |
| 14:28 |
jvwoolf |
Oh no LOL |
| 14:29 |
JBoyer |
So, to be sure that everything is as expected you might try re-running the ubuntu-`lsb_release -cs`-developer make target for your system to make sure you have the expected version of Node.js installed. |
| 14:30 |
berick |
oh yeah, gotta do that |
| 14:31 |
JBoyer |
If that doesn't work, you get to edit the file /usr/local/lib/node_modules/npm/node_modules/make-fetch-happen/cache.js file and increase the MAX_MEM_SIZE value from 5MB to something larger, like 25MB |
| 14:32 |
jvwoolf |
"get to" LOL |
| 14:32 |
jvwoolf |

| 14:33 |

My memory is sketchy; berick, is that as important when moving between 3.4 and 3.5 as it is when moving between 3.5 and master? |
| 14:35 |
berick |
JBoyer: yes |
| 14:35 |
berick |
Ang 7 to 8 |
| 14:35 |
JBoyer |
Oh, right, forgot about that one. |
| 14:35 |
JBoyer |
so, jvwoolf, re-running that should probably be all you need. |
| 14:36 |
JBoyer |
berick++ |
| 14:37 |
jvwoolf |
Great, thank you! |
| 14:40 |

Do I need to redo the AngularJS install as well? |

jihpringle joined #evergreen |

jvwoolf |
JBoyer: Redoing the make targets didn't work and editing the file didn't work :( |
| 14:49 |
JBoyer |
I don't think the version has changed on AngularJS in a good while so it should be ok. |
| 14:49 |
JBoyer |
I'm a bit lost that you're still having problems after doing both of those things though. :( |
| 14:50 |
JBoyer |
I will say if you've re-run make since editing that file that you'll have to edit it again because the make file overwrites it. |
| 14:51 |
jvwoolf |
Nope, I tried npm install right after the re-running make and then went in to edit the file |
| 14:52 |
JBoyer |
You should probably wipe out the eg2 node_modules dir one more time also, if it's still around from before the last time you ran make. |
| 14:53 |
jvwoolf |
I thought I did that too, but I'll try one more time |
| 14:53 |
jvwoolf |
That variable looks like this in my file: const MAX_MEM_SIZE = 5 * 1024 * 1024 // 25MB |
| 14:53 |
jvwoolf |
Is that right or should I be changing the other numbers, too? |
| 14:54 |
JBoyer |
Ah, ok. the '//' part is a comment. changing the 5 to 25 will up the size: const MAX_MEM_SIZE = 25 * 1024 * 1024 // 25MB |
| 14:55 |
jvwoolf |
AHA |
| 14:55 |
jvwoolf |
Thank you |
| 15:01 |
jvwoolf |

Launchpad bug 1797973 in Evergreen 3.4 "Webstaff - eg-org-selector directive's input will stretch to fill page width" [Low,New] |
| 15:50 |

does this note in the spreadsheet apply to it? "The change to t_edit has a merge conflict because it was already fixed elsewhere, but the transit list fix is valid" |
| 15:54 |
mrisher |
if so, I could use some help identifying where the transit list fix is. I'm studying the handy screenshot provided and am not sure where the transit list is. |
| 16:01 |
terranm |
mrisher: yes, it's under Local Admin > Transit Lists |
| 16:08 |
