11:05 Dyrcona Grr....
11:08 rhamby I'm going to guess something isn't going well for Dyrcona.
11:23 csharp @blame [band] for whatever's going on with Dyrcona
11:23 pinesol csharp: The Silence is NOT CONNECTED TO THE NETWORK!!! for whatever's going on with Dyrcona
11:35 jeff The Silence, eh? Not sure if I should make a Doctor Who joke or a John Cage joke.
11:35 jeff mosh: sendto: Network is unreachable (4:33 without contact.) [To quit: Ctrl-^ .]
11:44 csharp it was a Doctor Who reference if I recall correctly :-)
11:45 * csharp stays silent for 4 minutes 38 seconds though for good measure (ha!)
11:48 csharp oh - it's 33 minutes :-)
11:48 csharp seconds, I mean
11:48 * csharp gives up

13:27 Dyrcona :)
13:28 Dyrcona I forget what the Grr was about, now. Probably typos or just general grumpiness.
13:28 jeff GRRood morning!
13:29 csharp I AM GRRRoot?
13:29 mmorgan Grrumpiness
13:33 Dyrcona :)
13:44 mmorgan Is this true about actor.usr_standing_penalty? If a penalty is archived, the row gets a stop_date, but if the penalty is removed the row gets deleted.
13:46 mmorgan NM, answered my own question. TRUE.
13:47 * csharp heard that in Dwight Scrute's "FALSE" voice
13:47 csharp autogen--
13:49 jeff mmorgan: some penalties are force-archived by a rule on the table: anything with standing_penalty > 99 or in 20, 21, 25, 30.
13:49 terranm autogen-- csharp++
13:50 jeff (SILENT_NOTE, ALERT_NOTE, STAFF_CHR (circ, hold, renew block), or PATRON_IN_COLLECTIONS)
13:53 mmorgan Hmm.
13:53 * mmorgan doesn't see such a rule.
13:53 jeff oh hey, i wonder if that's a local thing.
13:54 jeff because yeah, I was just looking at master to see if it had new IDs (and to look at the commit that introduced that...)
13:55 jeff yup, pickaxe seems to confirm that that particular rule isn't anywhere in master or its history.
13:56 jeff nevermind me!
13:58 * gmcharlt 's brow unfurls
14:00 jeff Some of the "bad contact" code archives standing penalties when they're auto-cleared as a result of the patron being updated.

16:13 terranm JBoyer++ and Bmagic++ for getting bug squashing test servers going for next week already! (I've had a hellish day so probably won't do mine until Monday morning)
16:14 Bmagic terranm++ # no prob
16:18 terranm (Did I say day? I mean week.)
16:29 jeffdavis upload 100 barcodes in Item Status > select all > Mark Item Missing > 100 calls to open-ils.circ.mark_item_missing. I need to start keeping track of places like this where we should be using batch methods.
16:33 Dyrcona jeffdavis: That's a good idea, except the mark_item family of functions don't have batch versions. You'll have to add them.
16:35 jeffdavis proper handling of error conditions too, e.g. could not mark these 3 items as missing but the other 97 were ok
16:35 jeffdavis in other words, it's real work :)
16:35 Dyrcona Yes, definitely room for improvement.
16:36 mmorgan +1
16:44 Dyrcona Well, it's about that time. Have a good weekend, everyone!
