08:38 Dyrcona leading-zeroes--
08:38 Dyrcona spreadsheets--
08:39 Dyrcona Because spreadsheets strip leading zeroes in "numeric" fields or text fields that look like numbers, barcodes for instance.
08:39 Dyrcona @band add Leading Zeroes
08:39 pinesol Dyrcona: Band 'Leading Zeroes' added to list
08:40 rfrasur It is a terribly annoying thing.

13:26 jeffdavis seeing a lot of Vandelay-related cstore drone saturation on 3.5 that we didn't experience before

13:30 abneiman looking for eyes on bug 1841974 if anyone has tuits
13:30 pinesol Launchpad bug 1841974 in Evergreen "action.hold_request_permit_test should consult proximity adjustments" [Wishlist,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1841974
13:44 berick jeffdavis: your previous version being 3.4?
13:45 jeffdavis 3.3.4
13:45 jeffdavis but we have the bug 1444644 fix backported
13:45 pinesol Launchpad bug 1444644 in Evergreen "Copy Import Development" [Wishlist,Fix released] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1444644
13:45 jeffdavis I found some small differences in a vl overlay db function between our 3.3 and 3.5 environments, just seeing if they make a difference
13:46 berick and looks like bug 1444644 is the only difference between 3.3 and 3.5 Vandelay on the backend
13:46 pinesol Launchpad bug 1444644 in Evergreen "Copy Import Development" [Wishlist,Fix released] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1444644
13:51 pastebot "jeffdavis" at 168.25.130.30 pasted "differences in vandelay.auto_overlay_org_unit_copies" (29 lines) at http://paste.evergreen-ils.org/10148
13:51 berick jeffdavis: would be curious to know if you see an increase in front-end calls (i.e. from the client) compared to 3.3
13:52 berick there are about 6 non-pcrud api calls that happen on the import page
13:52 berick most of those should happen once per vandelay load
13:53 berick but if something went nuts and started spewing requests it could affect cstores (via vandelay api calls)
13:55 jeffdavis I applied the changes from that paste to vandelay.auto_overlay_org_unit_copies on our 3.5 server and it seemed to prevent the problem - a file that previously caused cstore saturation loaded correctly afterward.
13:55 jeffdavis I'll see what I can find out about client API calls
13:55 * berick nods
13:56 berick well if the SQL change fixes it...

14:02 jeffdavis berick: btw I applied your c-backlog-speedbump fix on our 3.5 server and it seems to have successfully prevented the log problem when we hit max_children today
14:02 jeffdavis so thanks for that! :)
14:03 berick jeffdavis: nice, thanks for testing

15:24 Dyrcona Do services normally need to be restarted after creating a config.bib_source entry in the database? I was just told that it was sometimes working for someone and sometimes not working. I assumed it was that some bricks "saw" it but others didn't.
