jeff: It appears to be opt-in, so if you don't sign in on that site they don't know anything about you. We don't pre-load it that I'm aware of. (And after I signed in I'm showing up at the event, though I'm not registered yet.) |
12:20 |
jeff |
JBoyer: good to know. in at least one previous year there was this weird integration with Eventbrite and Sched that seemed less opt-in-y. |
12:21 |
JBoyer |
A benefit of using the BOR site for registration this year I guess. :) |

Also of note to anyone that would like to use sched but privately, you can hide your profile and schedule after creating an account in settings. (It's both or neither though) |

a question that came up during the angular acq search project - what do people think of the styling of the "nothing to display" message in the angular grid? |
13:26 |
gmcharlt |
it's currently italic with grey text, but that's a bit subtle |
13:26 |
gmcharlt |
the acq search branch tweaks it to be more like this: https://imagebin.ca/v/5AkMhCqgbacE |
13:26 |
gmcharlt |
i.e., heavier font weight and bold |
13:26 |
gmcharlt |
thoughts on preferred styling for this? |
13:26 |
Dyrcona |
Bold is better than Italic. |

newly discovered issue that's new to me: following upgrade to 3.4, action triggers are no longer running to send courtesy notices. just wondering if there is any simple step I may have overlooked that any regulars might instantly spot. |
13:29 |
jeff |
abowling: did you do an OS upgrade at the same time? |
13:29 |
gmcharlt |
in contrast, here's how the angular staff catalog does it: https://imagebin.ca/v/5AkNwK9jFz8l |
13:29 |
jeff |
abowling: if so, you may have run into bug 1801163 |
13:29 |
gmcharlt |
not an eg-grid, of course, but perhaps something where styling could be unified |

Launchpad bug 1801163 in Evergreen 3.5 "SendEmail A/T reactor broken for recent version of Encode::MIME::Header" [High,Fix committed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1801163 |
13:30 |
jeff |
abowling: that would break all SendEmail A/T, not specifically courtesy... |
13:32 |
Dyrcona |
abowling: I was gonna ask if the crontab is still setup and if other a/t runners are running. |
13:32 |
abowling |
jeff: indeed I did |
13:33 |
abowling |
Dyrcona: so far as I can tell, crontab is intact (and other cron jobs are running successfully, just not a/t) |
13:35 |
abowling |
jeff: to clarify, it does seem only to be SendEmail A/Ts that are broken |
13:36 |
jeff |
abowling: check that bug for symptoms to confirm and a fix to put in place. |
13:37 |
Dyrcona |
abowling: You probably need the patch from the bug that jeff shared. It made it into 3.4.2, but it should backport all the way to 3.0. |

does anyone already have a good script to find duplicate transits when one of them has already been cancelled/received? the sql in the upgrade notes finds the ones that are both still open. We have quite a few that the latest transit has been finished properly by now but the duplicate right before it is dangling open. |
14:43 |
mmorgan |
eby: I have a query that cancels transits based on the status of the item. If the item doesn't have In transit status, there shouldn't be an open transit, right? |
14:43 |
pastebot |
"mmorgan" at 168.25.130.30 pasted "Cancel transits for items with status other than In transit" (11 lines) at http://paste.evergreen-ils.org/10123 |
14:43 |
eby |
mmorgan: yep i presumed that would be what i ended up having to do |
14:47 |
eby |
thanks for that. i'm still getting used to psql joins |
14:51 |
mmorgan |
eby: it could probably be cleaner, I tend to nest select queries inside update queries a lot. |

Hmm, is it just me or is there no reference to a hackfest on Wednesday for the 2020 EG conf? Omission or is there only pre-conf activities that day? |
16:52 |
berick |
bshum: it's not just you. |
16:53 |
berick |
guess we'll have to go to the aquarium instead |
16:54 |
Dyrcona |
:) |
16:55 |
Dyrcona |
Yeah, I noticed it when I first looked at the schedule, I just figured it was an unintentional omission. |
16:56 |
alynn26 |
There is. It's listed as Developer and Documentation Hackfest |
16:58 |
bshum |
Hmm, gotcha |
16:58 |
bshum |
Well it's not on the Sched app, or the conference site page for programs/schedule |
16:58 |
Dyrcona |
It's on the Sched site, but not on the evergreen-ils.org page. |
16:58 |
