Well, yes. I've recently been thinking that in regard to a number of events. However, in the case of autorenewal, a notice is generated so a patron may need to be informed that they're out of autorenewals or the item cannot be autorenewed. |

Autorenew should have an opt-in (or maybe an opt-out), IMO. I could see someone not wanting to have their items autorenewed. |

Some materials aren't renewable at all, so it can be confusing for a patron to get a notice saying a renewal failed on something that they understood was not renewable. |
