Dyrcona, good to see that's how that works, I'll definitely keep that in mind when testing things. |

So, I'm testing the autorenew events on training. I set all of the other evens to active false, and I added a daily granularity to the autorenew event. |
| 09:57 |
Dyrcona |
I ran our usual action-trigger runners, and it looks like the daily one created event entries for autorenew, but they are in a pending state. |
| 09:58 |
Dyrcona |
We have one that runs every half hour with no granularity that has --proccess-hooks --run-pending, but it doesn't seem to pick these up. |

Dyrcona |
Just looking for some suggestions. |

I'll wait and see what happens with the 10:00 am runner. I did find an old lock file that I deleted earlier this morning, but I think the 9:30 one ran OK. |
| 10:05 |
Dyrcona |
Ah, yeah. Think it's the granularity. The a/t runner looks like it is sending granularity: null from the logs. |
| 10:06 |
Dyrcona |
But, doesn't explain why they weren't processed last night.... |
| 10:08 |
Dyrcona |
hmm. The other cron jobs do not have --run-pending. Guess rubber ducky, er, IRC debugging works, again. :) |

After seeing this I'm not sure I understand the use case for creating the events but not running them (by default) it seems to me that the default should be to do the work unless you have a special use case, then have a flag for that instead. |
| 10:19 |
JBoyer |
(i.e. if a "plain" installation requires the same flag for every invocation of a command then the ui is backward for that command.) |
| 10:34 |
Dyrcona |
I suppose. People might want to do bizarre things like create the events and then run them an hour later. |
| 10:35 |
JBoyer |
I want that to be possible, just not the default. ;) |

I'm not sure what happens if you run action_trigger_runner.pl with no options, probably nothing, but I'd have to check. |

NGINX users, ever seen intermittent cases of pages failing to load the first time you navigate to a new domain? e.g. the first time you open EG in the browser for the day -- though less predictable. |
| 12:26 |
berick |
chrome will briefly complain about the page not working (or similar, i forget the exact message) then quickly refresh and the page loads successfully. |

Has Server Admin been Angularized yet? |
| 16:22 |
berick |
jeffdavis: yes, the landing page and a pile of autogenerated UI's |
| 16:23 |
berick |
some links still go back to legacy versions though |

berick: don't know if it's a quick fix for you, but it looks like all the boolean fields for the eg2 grid are stuck presenting Yes |

hrm. ahopl IDL source duplicates rows because of a join on actor.usr_standing_penalty. I think a NOT EXISTS approach might work better there. |
