hi the install intrusions seem to be 404? |
11:40 |
jeff |
usually there are install instructions in the tar archive once you extract it. |
11:40 |
jeff |
that daid, what link is 404 and what document linked to that url? |
12:25 |
bshum |
Uh |
12:26 |
bshum |
downloads is gone, so is docs, etc. |
12:28 |
bshum |
Basically all links are pointing to nonexistent directories |
12:38 |
* bshum |
typed up an email for the team |

bshum |
Time to test if we have backups... |

Hello All |
13:24 |
darkdrgn2k |
it seems the inbstall instructions yield a 403 error from the site. |
14:44 |
bshum |
darkdrgn2k: Yes, there's a problem with the Evergreen website at the moment. |
14:46 |
bshum |
I sent a note to the other website administrators but it's the weekend, so not sure if they'll get to fixing things right away. |
14:47 |
bshum |
In the meantime, I think jeff was recommending that the README install instructions are still included inside the downloaded tarball. |
14:48 |
bshum |
http://docs.evergreen-ils.org/ |
14:48 |
bshum |
The documentation website is still up too, I think in the consolidated manual there are links to the installation steps for Evergreen as well. |
14:48 |
bshum |
Don't think OpenSRF instructions are web generated this way though |
14:49 |
bshum |
So yeah, using the included README files that come with the downloads is probably the best way for now until we get the website fixed |
15:11 |
rhamby |
looking a bit now but I donh't have a lot of time right now |
15:12 |
rhamby |
last time we did a significant upgrade it broke some customizations on the site which broke the site itself..... |
15:15 |
rhamby |
bshum: I didn't get the email so not sure what you're seeing down, just basic poking at articles is working fine for me |
15:27 |
bshum |
Noting for logs and rhamby that wordpress is fine. It's the underlying files we host that appear missing for install/releasenotes/downloads,etc. |
16:00 |
* csharp |
is restoring the files |
16:00 |
csharp |
I'm sorry for the trouble - I didn't realizing removing the directory in /root would cause trouble |
16:45 |
rhamby |
bshum: csharp: ah, gotcha csharp++ |
16:46 |
rhamby |
csharp: if you're still around can you see what might have happened to https://evergreen-ils.org/directory/libraries.json ? |
16:47 |
csharp |
rhamby: check now |
16:48 |
rhamby |
csharp: thanks |
16:48 |
csharp |
files are restored - downloads/changelog working again |
16:48 |
csharp |
please let me know if you see further trouble and again, I apologize |
16:48 |
csharp |
thankfully we have a good backup strategy and restoring was possible/easyu |
16:48 |
csharp |
easy |
16:48 |
rhamby |
eh, it happens, thanks for the restore |
