09:52 csharp Bmagic: are y'all sending out HTML email notices from EG?  I seem to remember you working on that in the last few years

13:45 gmcharlt has anybody had an opportunity to test the OpenSRF 3.1 beta?
14:01 Dyrcona No, but I've been using OpenSRF master for a while.
14:02 Dyrcona including updating my VMs this week for some light weight work testing things for my conference presentation.
14:09 JBoyer I was going to say no but upon actually bothering to look, I've been running master in production for a while now. Haven't given proper attention to any specific features beyond websocketd support though.

14:51 berick cesardv: I can grab bug #1737800 (and un-assign you)?
14:51 pinesol Launchpad bug 1737800 in Evergreen "Web Client: Pending Patrons No Delete" [Medium,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1737800 - Assigned to Cesar V (cesardv)
14:58 * berick thinks the answer is probably yet
14:58 berick er, yes

15:26 Dyrcona I'll push bug 1801998 in the interest of getting it in before tomorrow's releases, if they're still on. Last that I heard they were, but haven't heard anything since last week.

15:32 Dyrcona Launchpad seems to be acting up at the moment. I get errors every second or third thing that I try to do.
15:32 Dyrcona berick++
15:33 Dyrcona It would be good if someone looked at bug 1803734 before tomorrow.

16:44 hbrennan bshum: FYI autogen didn't solve the "unclickable item barcode" issue :(
16:44 hbrennan but diving in deep, there's a xul reference in there
16:53 hbrennan <a href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="xulG.new_tab(xulG.urls.XUL_COPY_STATUS, {}, {'from_item_details_new': true, 'barcodes': ['000097859']})">000097859</a>
17:02 bshum hbrennan: Hmm, well darn.
17:02 bshum hbrennan: That XUL reference looks like it's trying to call up the copy status XUL interface page with the item barcode, but not actually doing it if you're still not getting there.
17:02 hbrennan bshum: exactly
17:02 bshum I forgot was this in the XUL client or web client?  And on 3.0?
17:03 hbrennan webby!
17:03 hbrennan 3.0.5
17:03 bshum Well that sounds like webby sucked in 3.0 :)
17:03 hbrennan Haha, yup
17:03 hbrennan I was just going to ask what you were on, but, you have no library....
17:03 bshum No, I don't have a library :)
17:04 hbrennan I'm pretty sure it's a super major showstopper bug but we're the only ones using that version?
17:04 bshum I'll just think of all of the Evergreen libraries in the world as my children anyways
17:04 hbrennan bshum: Ha! (heart emoji)
17:04 bshum Speaking from my own opinion, fixing webby issues in previous releases is a pain :)
17:04 bshum Fixing them in current ones isn't much better either.
17:05 bshum If it's not broken for others on 3.1 or 3.2, it's community-advisable to just say "plan your next upgrade"
17:05 hbrennan We're building a test of 3.1.something this week
17:05 hbrennan It's not even broken on 3.0.9, the closest I could survey
17:06 hbrennan Literally no one has this issue, which is why I went in the direction that it must be us
17:06 bshum Yeah :(
17:06 bshum I hate it when that happens :)
17:06 hbrennan Instead, it looks like it must be 3.0.5
17:06 bshum It wouldn't surprise me if a particular point release is borked in some unknown and strange way
17:06 hbrennan I just never believe I'm the only one
17:06 hbrennan But I guess we were the first to go 3.0
17:06 bshum That's usually why we tell folks to be on the latest one ;)
17:06 bshum But I have the luxury of saying stuff like that
17:07 hbrennan I'm too excitable. I should probably stop reading release notes. They promise so much fun and new.
17:12 bshum New is always better.
17:12 hbrennan Except when it's not. :)
17:12 bshum When it was up to me, life on the bleeding edge was the only way to go
17:12 mmorgan left #evergreen
17:12 bshum But I was more in-tune with the development then
17:12 bshum So it was easier to know where the mines were going to be
17:13 bshum I don't get to test as much as I'd like to, now.
17:13 hbrennan Well thankfully we can still run the xul client. Which is why this has been on my backburner for a while.
17:13 hbrennan But now I'm leaving my position and need to push up web training
17:13 bshum It makes me wonder if maybe it's a customization issue
17:13 hbrennan Clicking on barcodes is kinda important
17:14 bshum Like something in the TPAC code was changed locally, and it affected the difference between the XUL way and web client way of how that block of code is rendered
17:14 bshum Or it could be a buggy 3.0.5
17:14 hbrennan I have done extremely minimal customization (no time) .. really mainly css, and not at all recently
17:15 bshum Okay, just thinking aloud. :)
17:15 hbrennan But who knows. I actually tried to look at Biblio catalog to see what was there and then realized I couldn't go to item depth without staff credentials.. I don't know what I'll do when that gets taken away from me at my library as well
17:15 hbrennan How will I know who to get mad at for keeping a book I want too long?!
17:16 bshum Heh
17:17 bshum Well, good luck on all that.  If I think of anything more interesting to check out, I'll say something.  More so than, "time to upgrade"  :D
17:18 bshum Though it's always a good time to upgrade
17:18 hbrennan Absolutely!
17:18 * bshum wanders off
17:18 hbrennan remingtron says he went to 3.2 in Dec!
17:19 hbrennan bshum++ Thanks. Just wanted to keep you in the loop of my saga
