berick, the patch from bug 1807523 breaks npm lint, have a preference for a new bug vs a comment on a fix committed bug? |

JBoyer: ng lint? my latest commit to bug 1809288 addresses those issues, since it also modifies fm-editor |

Ah, yeah. I didn't notice that since 1807523 is committed and 1809288 isn't. |

hey, Dyrcona, once upon a time you mentioned a possible pre-conference presentation on beginning backend programming. is that happening? or is it informally bundled with the pre-conference hackathon? |
12:36 |
aabbee |
tangentially related, https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2019-evergreen-international-conference-registration-53915101520 has a link to "the conference website" which points to https://evergreen-ils.org/conference/2018-evergreen-international-conference/ (last year...) |
12:36 |
jeff |
aabbee: according to the email I saw earlier today on one of the lists, it's a pre-conf. |
12:37 |
Dyrcona |
aabbee: I have been informed it is happening from 1:30PM-4:30PM on Wednesday, April 24th. |
12:37 |
aabbee |
ah, i see it in the email now. thanks! |

does the "Full Conference" pricing include the preconference day? or is that separate? |
12:43 |
Dyrcona |
I believe it is extra unless you're only attending the hack fests. |
12:44 |
aabbee |
ok, thanks |
12:45 |
Dyrcona |
It actually says on the Register "window." |
12:46 |
Dyrcona |
And, after some fun with arp caches, our move of Syrup from a dedicated server to a virtual machine is successful! |
12:46 |

Dyrcona: if this is too complicated to get into or is documented elsewhere, feel free to ignore, but what is the difference between what pingest.pl does and the "UPDATE biblio.record_entry set id = id" approach? Does pingest.pl care about the "reingest on same marc" flag? |
13:09 |
Dyrcona |
csharp: pingest.pl runs the ingest database functions, so it does not care about reingest on same marc flag. |
13:10 |
Dyrcona |
It also allows you to skip certain ingests based on command line switches. |
13:10 |
Dyrcona |
So, if the changes don't affect browse, you can skip the browse ingest, for instance. |
13:14 |
Dyrcona |
It also handles splitting the ingests up into parallel batches for you, so you don't have to write out separate SQL files and run them yourself. |
13:15 |
Dyrcona |
Those are the main advantages over doing a db UPDATE. |
13:31 |
Dyrcona |
And.... networking-- |

in 3.1.8, web staff client, grid customizations appear to get clobbered when browser cache is cleared. Is that a feature or have I missed a configuration option? |
16:20 |
mmorgan |
stephengwills: Workstation settings are stored in the browser in 3.1, so they are vulnerable when clearing browsing data. As of 3.2, those settings will be stored on the server, see bug 1750894 |
