I can't find anything on it which makes me think there is no discussion on it but we are moving to 3M's cloudLibrary in a few months. Is there any talks of integration with Evergreen? |
13:40 |
Dyrcona |
nfBurton: Not as far as I know. |
13:40 |
nfBurton |
I didn't think so but figured either way someone here would know. I wanted to integrate Overdrive but cloudLibrary is more lucrative for us. |
13:41 |
jeff |
nfBurton: does bibliotheca cloudLibrary have an API? |
13:42 |

I can't find documentation but they integrate with Bibliocommons so there must be a way |

They have a real nice app too |

Trying to do some troubleshooting... we have a user that is a System Admin (perm grp 12) who cannot see the Hold Policy Configurations. We confirmed that perm grp 12 has VIEW_CIRC_MATRIX_MATCHPOINT and ADMIN_HOLD_MATRIX_MATCHPOINT privileges, but he just sees a white screen. Does anyone know if there's another permission that's required to view and edit hold policies? |
16:33 |
BAMkubasa |
12 also has the -1 EVERYTHING privilege |
16:35 |
kmlussier |
BAMkubasa: What depth is the permission set at? It might need to be for the entire consortium. |
16:35 |
bshum |
Also, what Evergreen version is being used. Web client vs. old XUL client? |
16:36 |
bshum |
(just a blank white screen makes me wonder if there's any console errors that might describe the issue more clearly. Like maybe dojo install is busted or missing somehow) |
16:36 |
bshum |
(and also whether it's a global issue or just the new user you're trying to get setup) |
16:37 |
Bmagic |
BAMkubasa: Other accounts can* use it? |
16:37 |
BAMkubasa |
kmlussier Its at depth 1 (not sure what that translates to) |
16:38 |
kmlussier |
BAMkubasa: I think it needs to be 0. |
16:38 |
BAMkubasa |
bshum 2.12.7 in this instance |
16:38 |
Bmagic |
0=consortium 1=system (usually) |
16:38 |
BAMkubasa |
Bmagic, no, not in our testing of a separate account with the same privileges |
16:39 |
BAMkubasa |
alright, first test then will be to set those privileges at the consortium level and try again |
16:41 |
* kmlussier |
isn't certain now that she hears another account with the same privileges has no trouble. But it doesn't hurt. |
16:41 |
kmlussier |
More than eight years working on Evergreen, and I still don't understand how it works. |
16:44 |
bshum |
Silly nitpick, but BAMkubasa, you said VIEW_CIRC_MATRIX_MATCHPOINT instead of VIEW_HOLD_MATRIX_MATCHPOINT |

kmlussier FTW, yes, setting it to consortium made it work, and bshum, yes VIEW_HOLD_MATRIX_MATCHPOINT |
16:48 |
Bmagic |
does that give too much privileges? |
16:50 |
kmlussier |
BAMkubasa: Yay! Which one needed to be set at consortium. The View permission? |

I like to hope that the options also only let you make edits or changes for org units you have working location set for. But not like I've looked lately as a nonprivileged user |

BAMkubasa: the reason that worked is that the permission is required to be global. see fm_IDL.xml around line 1938 (master) |
17:24 |
eeevil |
the global_required="true" attribute means it's needed at the top of the org hierarchy, because no one org unit "owns" those rules |
17:25 |
eeevil |
(there are at least 5 orgs involved ... who is in charge?) |

@later tell jeff I developed this back in 2016 and I was looking for the documentation of the API and I found that I signed NDA - so even if I could find the specs, you probably need to get the specs from them directly |
