09:18 collum kmlussier: take a look at the proposals page now.  I removed some divs that got pasted in from another page.  The only indication that there was a problem in chrome on either my mac or pc was a slight indention.

10:44 * jeff looks at the latest test failure, knowing that postgresql folk changed their cipher suites yesterday...
10:44 jeff > a2x: ERROR: missing resource: /home/opensrf/Evergreen/docs/media/copytags6.PNG
10:44 jeff failure building asciidoc docs.
10:46 jeff there is a docs/media/copytags6.png but docs/cataloging/copy_tags_cataloging.adoc references copytags6.PNG
10:48 jeff we appear to have a mix of uppercase and lowercase filenames on PNGs in docs/media at the moment.
10:55 kmlussier I think we went through those a few years ago to make them all lowercase. We might have to look into doing that again.
10:55 jeff the majority are indeed lowercase.
10:55 jeff has a preference for lowercase been made official anywhere in a style guide / etc?
10:57 jeff i can fix what's currently broken, then maybe we can go back and move the rest around if that's a desire.
11:00 kmlussier I don't see anything in https://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=evergreen-docs:dig_style_guide.
11:00 kmlussier I don't know. Should it be a preference? Does it matter if we have a mix, provided the links to the images use the right case?
11:01 kmlussier I hate upper case file extensions personally, but, back when I was a Windows user, I recall that the built-in screenshot program automatically saved files with uppercase extensions.

11:04 kmlussier Actually, comcast hasn't been too bad for me lately. I'll refrain from giving them more negative karma.

12:16 jeff and postgresql++ folk for re-adjusting their cipher suites so that we didn't have to work around it.
12:17 jeff (using curl instead of wget would have fixed the gpg key download, but the actual apt https transport would also have been broken, then)

12:50 jvwoolf Who's using self-registration out there in the wild? Can anybody point me at some examples?
12:58 jeff we did our own before Evergreen gained a front-end for it. is that helpful?
12:59 jeff jvwoolf: if it is, https://tadl.org/newuser

13:08 jvwoolf jeff: I was looking for examples of it being used natively in Evergreen, but that's interesting, too

13:12 jvwoolf I was just curious to see if other folks had added instruction to the form or anything. It's pretty bare bones out of the box.
13:22 kmlussier jvwoolf: I don't know for sure, but I think PINES might use it.
13:22 jeff PINES does appear to have it enabled at https://gapines.org/eg/opac/register
13:25 jvwoolf Ah. They do seem to have some extra goodies in there.

13:56 jeff Have others here considered reshelving complete intervals for different circ_modifiers or shelving locations, etc?
14:02 jvwoolf jeff: I think some of our libraries would like something like that, but it would be tough to get them to agree on what the different intervals should be.
14:07 jeff jvwoolf: would it still be difficult to get them to agree if the settings could still be set at any level in the org unit hierarchy?
14:08 jeff jvwoolf: i.e., BOOK at SYS2 has a 24h reshelving interval, everything at CONS has a 48 hour reshelving interval by default, etc?
14:10 jvwoolf I suppose if the settings were easily configurable, it wouldn't matter if they all agreed.
14:10 kmlussier That's why some of us love YAOUS! :)
14:10 kmlussier YAOUS++
14:10 jvwoolf Yes, the damn yankees love us some YAOUS.
14:11 jeff "please enter your reshelving interval using the following JSON schema..."
14:11 * jeff ducks
14:12 jeff currently, org unit settings like this are a bit... impractical.
14:13 jeff but perhaps an interface dedicated to the task and an org unit setting to enable/disable.
14:14 jeff adding attributes to circ mods or copy locations could help also, but i'm leaning away from that.
14:14 jvwoolf I see libraries forgetting what they have set, and wanting the change and fiddle.
14:14 jvwoolf Not great for a large consortium if help desk staff can't easily go in and check.
14:16 collum jeff:  We have some "Library of Things" (tools, telescopes, microscopes, etc) that would benefit from a circ_modifier or shelving location option. That is if they ever get checked-in without catching a request.
14:17 jeff collum: what is your current reshelving interval, and what interval would you use on those items?
14:17 collum 24 hours
14:17 collum and 1 hour
14:18 jeff because they never really sit in a bin or on a cart, they're always returned to a desk and go right on the shelf after a quick (probably even pre-checkin) inspection?
14:18 collum They are pretty much placed where they belong when they get checked-in.
14:19 collum Yep.  They are returned directly to a desk, inspected, then checked-in, and shelved.
14:33 collum jeff: Correction.  Our current interval is set to 6 hours.

14:41 krvmga we're talking about making a new icon for MP3 audiobooks (as opposed to CD audiobooks). has anyone done this already?
14:42 kmlussier krvmga: NOBLE might have one. Let me check.
14:46 kmlussier krvmga: There's the one PINES posted to the cataloging list. They call it Audio With Player. https://gapines.org/eg/opac/record/5000978?query=playaways;qtype=keyword;locg=1;detail_record_view=0
14:46 kmlussier krvmga: Is that what you're looking for?

14:50 jeff jvwoolf: looks like some of your libraries have a different call number for MP3 CD audiobooks and others just interfile them?
