Maybe it would make sense to move the maintenance release cut to next week so that we can maximize bug week :) |

Help! I'm not able to start all my osrf services cleanly. For instance, open-ils.storage is attempting to connect to the db with the wrong credentials: DBI connect('host=localhost;port=5432;dbname=evergreen;application_name='open-ils.storage'','postgres',...) failed: FATAL: password authentication failed for user "postgres". The /openils/conf/opensrf.xml has the correct user and passwords. The <settings_config> in the open |
14:50 |
bshum |
DPearl: You got cut off after "in the opens" which I think you mean opensrf.xml |
14:51 |
DPearl |
The <settings_config> in the opensrf_core.xml file is correct. |
14:51 |
bshum |
Oh, well that doesn't help you |
14:51 |
bshum |
the opensrf_core.xml guides on how opensrf talks |
14:51 |
bshum |
But the opensrf.xml is what does all the DB connections |
14:51 |
bshum |
Usually that gets setup using that eg_db_config script |
14:52 |
DPearl |
bshum: I used that script, but it is not working :-( |
14:52 |
bshum |
To replace stuff like the postgres user and password with whatever you created your database to connect with |
14:53 |
DPearl |
bshum: Do I need to restart anything? |
14:53 |
bshum |
DPearl: Well, if it's running when you run the script, I imagine that wouldn't make things happy... |
14:54 |
DPearl |
bshum: Decent idea. I'll shut it down and try again. |
14:54 |
bshum |
It also depends on what arguments you're passing to eg_db_config I guess |

I remember writing something for that |
16:28 |
bshum |
It could be a cataloging issue |
16:29 |
bshum |
Indicator flag issue |
16:29 |
kmlussier |
Yeah, I was just catching up to that. It's on the original bug. |
16:29 |
bshum |
Yep - http://git.evergreen-ils.org/?p=working/Evergreen.git;a=commit;h=9cf41dc26c536000dcd1cfe52fdf430accb63093 |
16:29 |
bshum |
So because Freddy_Enrique's record doesn't have ind2 set to anything, it's skipping it |
16:30 |
Freddy_Enrique |
oh....so it is really important the use of indicators after all |
16:30 |
Freddy_Enrique |
=_=, gonna have a serious conversation with my teachers |
16:30 |
bshum |
Well it's part of RDA spec if I remember right when we built it out to support that particular field |
16:31 |
bshum |
Or at least whatever the spec was back then |

one more thing, in other system the field 952 was used for copies... for what I cant tell, its not the same case here |
