00:03 ATS-JC Oh thank you jeffdavis ill try to contact our i.t folk about it because it seems that marking a bib record as electronic resource will make tag 856 appear on the opac
00:03 ATS-JC i've been searching for it in the client but i cant find it
01:18 ATS-JC and our opac search for bib call number is not working i already set the bibcn from tag 099 to 050 on the marc search field

09:28 * kmlussier was planning to look at Hatch this morning, but has wandered down the LP rabbit hole instead.
09:28 kmlussier berick / miker: bug 1347774 should have a Fixed Released status, right?
09:28 pinesol_green Launchpad bug 1347774 in Evergreen "Backend logic has leaked into the TPAC (and friends)" [Wishlist,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1347774
09:29 * kmlussier isn't quite sure which release it belongs to, but can do the necessary legwork to find out.
09:33 kmlussier csharp: Can I remove you as the assignee for https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1612752 or are you still working on it?
09:33 pinesol_green Launchpad bug 1612752 in Evergreen "Feature Request: Cancel Transits, Don't Delete Them" [Wishlist,Confirmed] - Assigned to Chris Sharp (chrissharp123)

09:44 Dyrcona kmlussier: I don't think bug 1347774 is done. I believe there is still a lot of backend logic in TPAC.
09:44 pinesol_green Launchpad bug 1347774 in Evergreen "Backend logic has leaked into the TPAC (and friends)" [Wishlist,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1347774
09:46 kmlussier Oh, ok. I see. The branch just addressed one aspect of the problem.
09:46 csharp kmlussier: I just removed myself - thanks for the poke
09:47 kmlussier csharp: OK, I think I'm going to apply a 2.12 milestone to that one. See if we can get it in for the upcoming release.
09:47 * csharp would love to see that feature implemented (though Canceled Transit may remove the urgency for it)
09:49 * mmorgan would like to see that go in, too, and may try to carve out some time to test it.
09:53 csharp mmorgan: I intentionally separated out the "Abort -> Cancel" changes into the second commit so they can be tested separately (since they're really not the same issue), just adding context for testing (if you get around tuit)
09:55 dteston joined #evergreen
09:57 mmorgan csharp: Gotcha. We love the new status, but would also like to be able to identify the source and destination of the canceled transits when necessary.
10:09 * berick adds a note to 1347774

10:20 bshum As a general musing... if we were trying to take action on https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/697926 to change the locale name for ar-AR to ar-JO....
10:20 pinesol_green Launchpad bug 697926 in Evergreen "change ar-AR to ar-JO for more accurate locale" [Low,Confirmed] - Assigned to Ben Shum (bshum)
10:20 bshum I was thinking that we should just be able to rename all the directory and files in git and then sync it back.
10:20 bshum I don't think there's any way to really test it though, given the limitations of how things sync with Launchpad translations.
10:20 bshum Anyone object if we just proceed and do cleanup if it goes wrongly?  :)
10:21 bshum (I was thinking to ask the translators to pause their work before the sync so that we make sure to capture all the new strings prior to moving things around)
10:24 kmlussier bshum: Would all translators need to pause their work or just the person working on the arabic files?
10:25 bshum kmlussier: I want to say only arabic since that's the one we want to move
10:26 bshum But this is new to me so I'm not sure :)
10:27 bshum And I guess I'm not sure whether the ar-AR will continue to exist in Launchpad translations anyways
10:27 bshum I don't know if we've ever removed a locale from there before
10:27 * bshum assumes there might be some bzr magic too we could try
10:27 bshum Maybe dbs would know more
10:28 kmlussier Yeah, it would be good to get some input with plenty of lead time before moving forward. I wish I understood translations more so that I could provide useful feedback.
10:35 berick huh, perl has an 'until' keyword.  who knew.  (probably lots of people)
10:36 krvmga joined #evergreen
10:42 Dyrcona :)
10:42 Dyrcona This people knew. ;)
10:43 bshum Actually, with how https://code.launchpad.net/~denials/evergreen/translation-export is setup, maybe only dbs can help us :)
10:46 * berick quickly grabs the easiest web staff bug
10:47 kmlussier berick++
10:48 kmlussier berick: It's probably a refreshing break from hatch work. :)
10:48 berick seriously
10:48 * kmlussier files a bug and then finally gets to web client stuff.

13:58 csharp so I'm a bit confused about A/T and granularity and --process-hooks
13:59 csharp we have an event that's getting duplicated apparently because the "nightly passive event generator" is processing them
13:59 csharp they have a granularity set
14:00 csharp 0 4 * * * . /etc/profile && cd /openils/bin && /usr/bin/perl ./action_trigger_runner.pl --osrf-config /openils/conf/opensrf_core.xml --process-hooks --run-pending
14:00 csharp this^^ should skip anything with granularity set, right?
14:00 sandbergja joined #evergreen
14:00 csharp also, if there's not an A/T filter defined for a hook, does --process-hooks do anything?
14:01 csharp (trying to see if I can just do without the cron pasted above)
14:03 sandbergja Hi all! DIG's meeting will start in about an hour.
14:04 berick csharp: i think no granularity there means all granularities.  lemme see what we're doing..
14:05 * Dyrcona assumed what berick thinks, but I am no A/T expert.
14:06 berick hm, yeah, we include a granularity w/ every invocation of --process-hooks
14:06 csharp ok - that was something we've been running for years, set up by ESI long ago (c. 2012)
14:06 csharp I'll change it
14:07 berick well, my answer is anecdotal.  checking the code..
14:07 JBoyer csharp, We're the same as berick, every --process-hooks has a granularity, and the one call we make without a granularity is just --run-pending,
14:07 JBoyer Which makes for anecdata while berick checks the code. ;)
14:08 csharp berick: thanks
14:08 csharp JBoyer: thanks for the confirmation
14:08 Dyrcona Yeah, we're the same.
14:09 csharp Dyrcona: and thank you too :-)
14:09 Dyrcona We have a --run-pending, but every --process-hooks has a granularity.
14:09 berick confirmed, open-ils.trigger.passive.event.autocreate.batch only filters on granularity if a granularity is provided.

14:15 kmlussier berick: I have a hatch question. "Clicking the "H" button should produce a security prompt...". Nothing happens when I click the H button.
14:16 kmlussier Does that mean it's not working or that it's just going the work without the prompt?
14:16 Guest65234 is the web staff client loaded in the active tab when you click the H button?
14:16 Guest65234 er.
14:16 kmlussier The web client seems to recognize that it's available.
14:16 kmlussier Yes, the web staff client is loaded Guest63089

14:18 jeff then it is possible that you've already granted far-reaching permissions when you added Hatch to the browser.
14:18 jeff which i think we were trying to avoid, but i know it came up last week in conversation with berick.
14:18 jeff oh.
14:18 berick kmlussier: oh, that comment is now out of date
14:18 kmlussier huh, I don't remember doing such a thing, but anything's possible.
14:19 jeff it's different when it's installed in dev mode, also -- which is probably also what you're doing.
14:19 berick the user no longer has to accept the permissions at run time
14:19 * jeff defers to berick again
14:19 berick it happens when the app is installed
14:19 kmlussier berick: Oh, good. I'll carry on with testing then.
14:19 jeff i don't like that Hatch gets such permissions, but that might be for another time.
14:19 berick note to self: fix docs
14:20 berick jeff: agreed, but at this point, if it works for someone besides me, i'm throwing a party
14:20 Dyrcona jeff: Everything wants the keys to the kingdom these days.
14:20 berick kmlussier: consider me on call for your testing :)
14:20 kmlussier Ooh! A party?
14:20 berick well, it is friday

15:05 jihpringle absolutely

15:05 jihpringle Thanks!
15:05 sandbergja #action sandbergja will research the state of missing RDA content
15:06 sandbergja Next up: Everybody will send useful, Evergreen-related, Creative Commons-licensed videos to Christineb
15:06 sandbergja Christineb, I remembered to do this as I was putting together the agenda
15:06 sandbergja :-)
15:06 sandbergja Have you received any other videos?
15:06 kmlussier #info kmlussier is Kathy Lussier, MassLNC
15:07 Christineb I have only receive the two you sent - they have been added to the "Evergreen Community Resources" playlist on the BC Libraries Cooperative channel
15:07 Christineb https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdwlgwBNnH4riThcmOwvdLTddsn435RcJ
15:07 sandbergja I can put that action item on for next time as well, then
15:07 sandbergja Before I do that, though, I wanted to clarify
15:08 Christineb I have a couple questions - does anyone have suggestions for playlist name / description
15:08 sandbergja Should we just send videos from our own consortia?  Or from other Evergreen libraries that we find useful?
15:09 Christineb I think any Evergreen videos we find useful can be added
15:09 Christineb If we start to get lots of videos we can revisit the idea of creating playlist by function
15:10 remingtron #link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcFof3irsR0
15:10 remingtron that's from Evergreen Indiana
15:11 sandbergja Nice! Thanks, remingtron!
15:11 sandbergja Any feedback for Christineb on the playlist's name or description?
15:11 Christineb I will add it right now :)
15:11 sandbergja I personally think the name and description are both good. :-)
15:12 Christineb We can update the description later if anyone has suggestions
15:12 jihpringle should we get a link to the playlist added to the Evergreen website? - maybe here: https://evergreen-ils.org/eg-documentation/
15:12 remingtron Christineb: what about changing "Resources" to "Tutorials"?
15:12 Christineb I like that remingtron
15:13 Christineb https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdwlgwBNnH4riThcmOwvdLTddsn435RcJ
15:13 sandbergja jihpringle: I like that idea
15:13 Christineb for now the videos are listed with newest video first
15:13 sandbergja Who would we talk to in order to get a link there?
15:13 Christineb we can change that to specific or if we want to later
15:14 jihpringle I'm not sure who can edit the website
15:15 jihpringle kmlussier: can you edit the website or know who can?
15:15 * kmlussier looks
15:16 remingtron probable website editors: gmcharlt rhamby
15:16 kmlussier yes
15:16 kmlussier But I can give anyone access who needs it too.
15:16 kmlussier We aren't stingy with WP credentials. :)
15:16 rhamby yep, both are accurate as well as kmlussier
15:16 Christineb it is also possible for me to add collaborators on the list so others can add videos - testing required
15:16 kmlussier Sorry, meant to say I can give access *to anyone* who needs it.
15:17 Christineb if anyone is interested in being a collaborator let me know and I will email you the invite so we can test it out
15:17 remingtron rhamby: kmlussier: thanks for confirming
15:17 sandbergja Anyone up for getting WP credentials and/or adding this link?
15:18 Christineb I can add it
15:18 sandbergja Thanks, Christineb!
15:18 Christineb if kmlussier gives me access :)
15:18 kmlussier Christineb: Yes, I'm just trying to remember how. :)
15:18 Christineb ok no rush
15:19 sandbergja #action Christineb will add a link from the Web site's documentation page to the new playlist
15:19 sandbergja #action Everybody will send useful, Evergreen-related, Creative Commons-licensed videos to Christineb
15:19 sandbergja Christineb++
15:19 sandbergja Thanks so much for getting this started!
15:19 sandbergja Last action item from last time: kmlussier will add the Web Client system requirements from Galen's email to the official docs
15:20 kmlussier I think I did that.
15:20 sandbergja Yay!  Thanks!

15:22 sandbergja kmlussier++
15:23 sandbergja For Web Client docs, I think we will be able to get a lot done at the hackfest, so let's start discussing that. :-)
15:23 sandbergja #topic Plan for February 17 Doc Hackfest
15:23 sandbergja We need to do some publicity, and also decide on what communication tools we'll be using
15:24 sandbergja I know in the past there's been IRC and Google Hangouts
15:24 sandbergja Any thoughts on either of those pieces?
15:25 kmlussier I generally like to go strictly with the IRC piece because it helps me focus on the docs.
15:25 remingtron I'm sometimes in and out of my office, so Hangouts isn't the best for me
15:25 sandbergja IRC also requires no set-up, which is nice
15:25 remingtron but I'm happy to join the Hangout if someone pings me on IRC with a question
15:26 sandbergja Any objections to just having IRC?
15:27 jihpringle no objections, but we may want to offer an irc refresher/intro in case there's anyone who would like to join but doesn't currently use irc
15:28 kmlussier No objections from me.
15:28 sandbergja jihpringle: good point
15:29 sandbergja As far as publicity goes
15:29 sandbergja I really like how kmlussier has been identifying important bugs and sending those out with hackfest announcements
15:29 sandbergja Maybe we can highlight really important 2.11 or web client documentation needs in publicity for the DIG hackfest?
15:30 jihpringle I think that's a great idea, I find what kmlussier's been doing really helpful
15:30 mmorgan1 joined #evergreen
15:30 kmlussier Well, I obviously am not going to object to the idea. ;)
15:30 kmlussier But I think it's helpful for people who don't know where to get started.
15:30 remingtron I agree, highlighting specific needs is helpful
15:30 sandbergja Want to decide on some right now?
15:31 sandbergja #link https://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=evergreen-docs:2.11_needs
15:31 sandbergja #link https://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=evergreen-docs:webclient
15:32 remingtron also note the link to Andrea's document that shows wording changes, etc.
15:32 remingtron #link https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1O0m89RblpKvS5IfYlgTT4PJe-fPI6jOFyNstyyJmlbc/edit#gid=1391769354
15:34 remingtron maybe we should focus on front line staff first
15:34 jihpringle have we decided how we want to handle new features for 2.11 that are only available in the web client?
15:34 remingtron like Circ, Cataloging
15:34 jihpringle ie. Email Checkout Receipts
15:34 remingtron maybe Acq if that part of the client is stable now
15:34 remingtron (serials isn't ready yet, I think)
15:35 jihpringle I don't think anything changed in acq between 2.10 and 2.11 (other than some minor fixes) based on the release notes
15:35 kmlussier jihpringle: I don't think there are many 2.11 libraries using the web client.
15:36 abneiman remingtron: from the peanut gallery, serials is indeed not ready yet in WSC
15:36 remingtron abneiman: thanks, any work being done on it?
15:37 abneiman remingtron: shortly forthcoming :)
15:37 remingtron :)
15:37 abneiman (not by Feb 17th though)
15:38 sandbergja I think we'll have plenty to do with circ, cat, and acq :-)
15:39 remingtron is that too broad? we can certainly focus on just circ if we want
15:39 remingtron might help us see progress if we focus in more
15:39 kmlussier I would like to prioritize circ and cat for the web client. I think that's what people will most likely start with. Also, there shouldn't be too many differences in acq since they are Dojo interfaces.
15:40 remingtron (but of course, anyone can help with anything)
15:40 sandbergja Circ and cat sounds good to me!
15:41 sandbergja I can send out some email blasts, and try to identify some juicy circ and cat needs to highlight
15:41 sandbergja Do we want to advertise a specific start and end time?
15:41 jihpringle I think that's hard with the different timezones
15:42 remingtron sandbergja: I don't think a start/end time is important, as long as there's some docs related noise on IRC and the email list to remind people
15:43 sandbergja All right, I can just say to join us when you're able :-)
15:43 sandbergja #action sandbergja will send out emails about the upcoming DIG hackfest
15:44 sandbergja Any other thoughts?
15:44 sandbergja I want to skip ahead in the agenda a bit
15:44 sandbergja #DIG at the 2017 Conference
15:44 remingtron would it help people very much if the DIG html pages linked to the file on GitHub for easy editing?
15:45 remingtron that's my latest idea for enabling more helpers
15:45 remingtron but I want to know if people think it would help much
15:45 sandbergja remingtron showed me an example, and I thought it was pretty neat
15:46 kmlussier remingtron: Yes, I think it would.
15:46 remingtron if it's not a big hurdle, then I'd rather focus on a bigger hurdle
15:47 kmlussier Well, I don't know if it's a big hurdle, to be honest, but I do think it opens the door to more people who haven't dipped their toe in the water yet.
15:48 sandbergja Question for the group
15:49 remingtron sandbergja: sorry, back to the new topic
15:49 sandbergja remingtron: no worries!
15:49 sandbergja In the current conference schedule, DIG has a 45 minute session (at 8am!)
15:49 sandbergja Should we contact the conference peeps to request a pre-conference instead (or something a little more extensive)?
15:49 sandbergja What is the ideal amount of DIG?
15:50 kmlussier sandbergja: jlundgren and I talked a bit about the conference after the last meeting.
15:50 sandbergja oh!  Good to know!
15:50 kmlussier For this year, I don't think we have the DIG people available to do a pre-conference thing like we have the last few years.
15:50 kmlussier The few DIG people who are going either want to spend some time in the hackfest or are planning to attend one of the other pre-conference sessions.
15:51 sandbergja That makes sense
15:51 kmlussier I was thinking that if people wanted to work on docs on Wednesday, if the hackfest room is large enough, maybe DIG folks could work there.
15:51 kmlussier That's why we used to do before we had our own Wednesday hackfest.
15:52 kmlussier In addition to the 45-minute session, there is also the session Lynn is doing on AsciiDoc, which should help out too.
15:52 sandbergja kmlussier++ jlundgren++ for doing this planning work!
15:53 sandbergja Before our time runs out, does anybody else have any discussion items?
15:53 kmlussier Well, it wasn't much planning. It was more of a 10 minute discussion. We never followed up with the conference folks because I wanted to run our thoughts by all of you first.
15:55 sandbergja kmlussier: I think that makes a lot of sense!
15:56 sandbergja Thanks to everyone for all your work!

16:10 kmlussier berick: I have trouble when I toggle the option to use Hatch for storage. Whenever I use it, when I retrieve any interface in the web client, the entire screen is blank with the exception of the menu bar.
16:10 kmlussier That includes the interface where I would need to go to untoggle that option. I need to disable the chrome extension to get the web client displaying properly again
16:11 kmlussier This is on Windows btw
16:11 berick kmlussier: can you check the js console for errors?
16:13 kmlussier https://mlnc2.noblenet.org/js/ui/default/staff/build//fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.woff2 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
16:13 berick you can ignore that one
16:13 kmlussier That's the only error that comes up.
16:14 berick does it say "Loading hatch relay script" at the top?
16:14 kmlussier Yes, "loading hatch relay content script."
16:14 berick ok, and i guess on the page that lets you turn hatch on, it says hatch is available?
16:15 kmlussier Well, it did when I could still see the page. :)
16:15 berick one more question.. did you try to use the "copy locatl staroage settings to hatch" button?
16:15 kmlussier yes
16:15 berick ok
16:15 kmlussier Was that bad?
16:15 berick no
16:15 berick that's good
16:16 berick what's the last thing in the console?
16:16 berick .. when the page fails to render
16:17 kmlussier berick: Here's a screenshot from my console https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B74gDMUDwDXqYzEtcDFJeVBzSE0/view?usp=sharing
16:17 berick event better
16:21 berick kmlussier: just to compare, what url (path / UI) are you loading?
16:22 kmlussier At that time, I was loading eg/staff/circ/patron/bcsearch
16:23 berick ok.  i'm not seeing any successful hatch responses in the console.  presumably, some part of the page is waiting on a resopnse before it can finish something
16:23 berick kmlussier: do you see a file in your windows home directory called .evergreen?
16:24 berick if so, what's there?  do you see a hatch.log file or other directories?
16:29 kmlussier berick: I don't see a file, but, to be honest, I'm struggling with being on a Windows computer that doesn't belong to me after not using Windows for a while. It would just be in my home director, not in AppData or someplace like that?
16:29 kmlussier directory, not director. I usually make that typo the other way around.
16:30 berick yes, just home directory.  I have a better idea if you're game..
16:30 berick haha

16:31 berick windows doesn't like you either
16:31 kmlussier berick: Sorry, that disconnect was not a response to your question.
16:31 berick kmlussier: ok, try this please:  open a console, then cd C:\\Program Files (x86)\Hatch
16:31 berick you may have use quotes on the directory names, tab-complete should help
16:32 berick once your there do:  hatch.bat test
16:34 berick well, probably it's just C:\Program...
16:34 berick not c:\\
16:36 * berick launches a windows vm
16:37 kmlussier berick: Sorry, distractions. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to look at this Monday morning.
16:37 berick kmlussier: ok, no worries, I'll be around
16:37 kmlussier berick: Thanks! And have a nice weekend!
16:37 berick kmlussier++
16:38 berick you too
16:38 berick csharp: any more hold targeter issues?
17:01 pinesol_green News from qatests: Test Failure <http://testing.evergreen-ils.org/~live>
17:04 jeff open-ils.cstore 2017-02-03 16:35:23 [ERR :11276:oils_sql.c:2522:] open-ils.cstore ERROR inserting config::copy_status object using query [INSERT INTO config.copy_status (holdable,id,name,opac_visible,copy_active,restrict_copy_delete,is_available) VALUES (DEFAULT,1,DEFAULT,DEFAULT,DEFAULT,DEFAULT,DEFAULT);]: 0 ERROR:  null value in column "name" violates not-null constraint
17:05 * jeff compares last success to see which of the 12 are the 3 expected errors.
17:06 jeff ah, yup. ignore my paste. that's expected.
17:07 jeff and the failure appears to be transient, three Transport errors that retried with success first thing in the log.
