11:46 Dyrcona berick: I know what you mean about OpenJFX being finicky. I've been doing some tutorials and examples and some things don't quite work in OpenJDK, at least not on Ubuntu 16.
11:47 Dyrcona berick: Anything specific that stands in the way of using with Hatch?
11:55 berick Dyrcona: the only thing I had issues with was the javafx stuff.  don't recall exactly what is was, though
12:02 Dyrcona berick: OK. I'll see if I can do some testing in the future. I've had issues with some cosmetic things, but I've not tried printing or anything like that.
12:04 berick thanks.  i'll also make a point of testing openjdk and collecting more data

12:06 csharp I remember testing openjdk and seeing the javafx problems, but I don't remember specifics
12:07 berick csharp: you'd think owning an island would be enough
12:07 csharp ... but here is the chat log: http://irc.evergreen-ils.org/evergreen/2015-06-10#i_181217
12:08 csharp berick: seriously
12:17 Dyrcona Well, the Oracle site even says its "free."
12:17 Dyrcona It's Free as in, "It's a trap!"

13:16 * Dyrcona changes the power settings on his laptop.
13:24 collum joined #evergreen
13:24 csharp Fedora has a very handy utility called tuned that gives you very fine-grained control of laptop power settings
13:25 csharp ...and someone has adapted it for Ubuntu: https://github.com/edwardbadboy/tuned-ubuntu
14:00 Dyrcona csharp: I've used something similar in the past. Forget what it was called, but not tuned.
14:00 Dyrcona Ten minutes is too short for the laptop to go to sleep on battery.
14:11 dbs powertop perhaps
14:18 Dyrcona Might have been. Might have laptop-mode-tools... Not sure any more.
14:56 * Dyrcona wants more cookies.... :(
14:56 Dyrcona @dessert
14:56 * pinesol_green grabs some Key Lime Pie for Dyrcona
15:00 Bmagic yum, classic
15:01 Dyrcona Indeed!
15:01 Dyrcona I should skipped the Coca-Cola. The less often I drink it, the less I enjoy it.
15:01 Dyrcona I dropping words today... :)
15:04 * Dyrcona wonders if he is the only weirdo to have two browsers open most of the day and to constantly switch back and forth between them.
15:18 JBoyer Dyrcona, nope, my desktop has a two browser minimum cover.
15:18 Dyrcona Heh
15:23 kmlussier Count me in the two-browser camp too. Interestingly, I only have one open now, but that's atypical.
15:27 tsbere I have three browsers open right now, but that is atypical.
15:27 tsbere Two is fairly common for me, if only because I prefer firefox for some things but my music streaming works better in chrome.
15:27 Bmagic two browsers and 4 windows with over 10 tabs each
15:28 tsbere Well, multiple *windows* and piles of tabs is a given. ;)
15:29 Bmagic yep, Dyrcona don't feel bad, I don't think you are alone. Hail da web browser
15:31 * phasefx likes to use Chrome for storing credentials, but Firefox for plugins.. doesn't want the two to intersect in some probably false hope of security
15:31 * Dyrcona is using Firefox and Chromium, 'cause he uses Chromium for his work Google account and Firefox for personal.
15:32 Dyrcona But, I have different pages on the same topic (vittualization options) open in both browsers.
15:33 jeff phasefx: "We have false hope. Compromises are built on false hope!"
15:33 Dyrcona So many options...but, I think I'll stick with libvirt/qemu/kvm for now.
15:35 Dyrcona Heh...."vittualization." I'm surprised it didn't come out "victualization."
15:44 berick mmmm... victuals
16:19 maryj joined #evergreen
16:43 * dbs does credential-splitting across browsers like phasefx and Dyrcona
16:47 Dyrcona It's just easier that way than changing users all the time.

17:02 Dyrcona Time to go!
17:18 Bmagic Can you put more than one email address in actor.usr.email_address?
17:18 Bmagic Just a wild guess, but I am thinking "no" is the answer
17:23 jvwoolf left #evergreen
17:52 jihpringle Bmagic: you may be able to if you separate them with commas but that's just a guess
17:53 Bmagic jihpringle: I'll give it a whirl
17:53 jihpringle let me know if it works :)
17:54 Bmagic might be tomorrow
