This wouldn't be so bad to run into....except I expect more from USPS's tracking page. |
10:55 |
tsbere |
Oh hey my "I shouldn't expect it for two weeks" package went from "we have no clue" yesterday to "out for delivery" today...apparently the label was created in CA, but it was actually shipped from North Reading. |
10:56 |
hopkinsju |
And you expected more? Next time, if you really want to have your expectations blown away, order something from India. |
10:57 |
tsbere |
hopkinsju: I dunno. Of the last three things I ordered from India one showed up in 3 days and the other two took 3 months. All three estimated 3 weeks. >_> |

I'm seeing what looks like a memory leak with the fine generator on a 2.10 test server. I don't see something similar on our 2.8 system, but the test server has a big backlog of fines to generate (and less memory than production) so I'm not sure if that would be a new issue or just something that doesn't arise in normal circumstances. |

So, we throwing Parsey McParseface into search yet? :-D |

sounds like more natural language search - like “OK evergreen, find me an ebook on educating nurses from the last five years" |
12:55 |

Which would be pretty killer. "What's that novel with the guy who can remember everything?" |

jlitrell: OK, go figure out how to do that. Can you get it into a git branch by next week? ;) |
13:00 |
jlitrell |
Sure. It's an API. |
13:01 |
jlitrell |
You just get the search string, send it, uhh... ~handwaves~... and you get back a list of books! |
13:01 |
kmlussier |
Magic! |
13:01 |
* tsbere |
can get it into a git branch fairly quickly. A git branch that makes it work with Evergreen, on the other hand... |

13:01 |

Get Houdini over there to do it. |
13:02 |
kmlussier |
Yeah, well, that was the underlying assumption, that it would work with Evergreen. :) |
13:02 |
jlitrell |
You just get the search string, send it to Blake, he writes it down on the Ace of Spades, tears it in half, denies that he's the spy, and then pulls a list of books out of your ear! |
13:03 |
