09:08 Dyrcona kmlussier: I made some changes to the branches that I'm loading this morning. I removed the vlewis branches for now and added the one for lp 1519055.

10:21 JBoyer So, is the general list subscribed to the digest of the general list?
10:21 jeff eh?
10:22 * jeff looks in his inbox for signs of a loop
10:22 JBoyer at 10:17: From Open-ils-general [open-ils-general-bounces@list.georgialibraries.org]; on behalf of; open-ils-general-request@list.georgialibraries.org
10:24 Dyrcona JBoyer: I have not received that one, yet.
10:25 JBoyer There's also 2/19 12:02 (EST)
10:26 jeff JBoyer: does it appear in the archives here? http://libmail.georgialibraries.org/pipermail/open-ils-general/2016-February/date.html
10:26 Dyrcona JBoyer: I didn't get that one, either.
10:27 kmlussier I don't have anything in my Inbox or Trash from 12/19 12:02
10:28 kmlussier That is, 2/19
10:29 JBoyer Great. Now I have to find out if I somehow have 2 addresses in the list, one getting everything and one getting the digest. It doesn't look like it's coming directly to me, but it's a hassle to get to real headers in Outlook.
10:30 Christineb joined #evergreen
10:30 JBoyer Until you remember where they are. Mystery solved, it's an old address redirection thing.

11:50 csharp anyone beside mceraso from the Evergreen world going to code4lib?
11:52 jeff not i. :-(
11:54 csharp Terran and I are going - we were just wondering who else to look for ;-)
11:54 berick csharp: I am
11:54 csharp berick: awesome
11:54 * berick knew csharp was going by his responses to kmlussier's recent doodle polls :)
11:54 jeff heh
11:55 csharp :-)

11:56 berick taking Amtrak this time.  8hr ride from raleigh.
11:57 csharp oh wow
11:57 csharp that's actually not bad for Amtrak from what I've heard
11:58 berick i've taken the 10hr ride to NY from here.  it was great.
11:59 * csharp looked into taking Amtrak to Arizona - it would've been 24 hours (Atlanta to Chicago, Chicago to Phoenix) and cost nearly as much as a flight
11:59 berick csharp: 16hrs from ATL to Philly :)
11:59 berick $105
11:59 csharp nice!
11:59 berick well, that's one way
11:59 csharp we're flying up on Sunday, back on Thursday
12:00 berick i'm doing monday->thursday
12:01 dbwells Amtrak isn't bad.  Greyhound, on the other hand, gives you new appreciation for life on the outside.
12:01 berick dbwells++
12:01 berick haha
12:04 csharp dbwells: :-( - I remember you telling me about your adventures getting to Hood River.
12:08 jeff dbwells: did your pillow ever finds its way back to you?
12:09 jeff s/finds/find/
12:10 dbwells Totally random as I'm cleaning up data:  Somebody created a precat for "An introduction to drawing the nude", but used the title "An introduction to drawing in the nude".  Those a different books, man.

12:13 tsbere dbwells: I dunno about different books, is a mirror involved? ;)
12:17 dbwells :)
12:20 csharp @praise recursive nude drawing in the nude
12:20 * pinesol_green recursive nude drawing in the nude is the hardest working person in #evergreen.

13:20 mceraso csharp and berick: Jumping in on the discussion late...but, I will see you there! I'm taking Amtrak too
13:23 berick mceraso: cool!
13:24 * Dyrcona should go to code4lib sometime.
13:24 * Dyrcona keeps saying, "Next year."
13:27 * berick recommends it
13:58 jeffdavis I went to code4lib before it was cool ... in 2006, when I had a PD allowance. :)

14:48 * kmlussier has never been to code4lib.
14:49 kmlussier I should have gone the year it was in Providence, but I think it was my first year working on Evergreen.

15:39 pinesol_green Launchpad bug 1527342 in Evergreen "Maintain patron reading history in a dedicated table." [Wishlist,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1527342 - Assigned to Bill Erickson (berick)
15:42 JBoyer This is my favorite thing:
15:43 JBoyer Me: psql, do this: select date_trunc(text 'hour', circ.xact_start)
15:43 JBoyer psql: What? there's no date_trunc(text, timestamp with time zone)
15:43 JBoyer Me: Really? \df date_trunc
15:44 JBoyer psql: Argument data types | text, timestamp with time zone
15:44 JBoyer psql: lol.
15:44 JBoyer rage.
15:49 Dyrcona JBoyer: Did you actually type "text 'hour'" or is that a transcription error?
15:50 dbwells JBoyer: And did you figure out the underlying problem?
15:50 Dyrcona Oh, never mind... That works.
15:50 Dyrcona Yeah, it works for me on Pg 9.1 and 9.3.
15:54 * Dyrcona gives a specific name to a generic script..... D'oh!
15:55 Dyrcona I named it for the library and the marc type, but I pass those in as arguments.

16:10 berick kmlussier: I just removed myself from assignee on bug 1527342.  let me know if you have any probs or if it needs rebasing.
16:10 pinesol_green Launchpad bug 1527342 in Evergreen "Maintain patron reading history in a dedicated table." [Wishlist,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1527342
16:17 kmlussier berick: To be clear, the branch doesn't incorporate anything from DPearl's code at bug 1312699 to remove titles from the checkout history, right?
16:18 pinesol_green Launchpad bug 1312699 in Evergreen "Editable Checkout History" [Wishlist,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1312699
16:18 berick kmlussier: correct.
16:18 berick that will have to be re-worked
16:20 rogan_ joined #evergreen
16:22 JBoyer Dyrcona: I'd tried multiple ways to cast 'hour', as apparently it's unknown if it's not somehow adorned. I haven't figured it out yet, I've been discussing other things. I'm wondering if there's not some other error or something in the query that's causing confusion.
16:23 pastebot "JBoyer" at 64.57.241.14 pasted "Toying with this query for a potential consortium dashboard" (8 lines) at http://paste.evergreen-ils.org/31
16:25 dbwells JBoyer: it does say "date_tunc" in that paste
16:26 dbwells if that helps :)
16:26 JBoyer Well. That uh, that's embarrassing. Ah, yes, and now 58 results.
16:26 JBoyer dbwells++
16:28 dbwells I'm sure you would have seen it with fresher eyes, we've all been there.

16:31 JBoyer I may have been exaggerating the level of embarrassment slightly, but thanks for pointing it out so I didn't have to wait until my eyes were fresher. ;)
16:32 dbwells Anything for a fellow malcontent ;)
16:36 Dyrcona JBoyer: We've all been there, some of us more than others.... ;)
16:37 Dyrcona I usually expect things not to work the first time because of typos.

19:22 lualaba Hello. i have a problem with cgi scripts (everything looks fine but anyway cgi not recognized)
19:23 lualaba any siggestion?
19:30 lualaba i see cgi as plain text
19:33 Dyrcona lualaba: It sounds like the Apache is not configured correctly for the cgi directory, or the cgi files do not have the execute bit set.
19:43 Dyrcona @later tell lualaba ls -l /openils/var/cgi-bin/offline should look like this: -rwxr-xr-x 1 opensrf opensrf 30103 Feb 22 09:44 offline.pl
19:43 pinesol_green Dyrcona: The operation succeeded.
19:44 Dyrcona @later tell lualaba If you don't the x in the -rwxr-xr-x part, then chmod +x /openils/var/cgi-bin/offline/offline.pl should fix it.
19:44 pinesol_green Dyrcona: The operation succeeded.
19:45 Dyrcona Even at at home I verbs... ;)
