I was experimenting with a different layout on our SonicWALL firewall and something was done so wrong that you could hold a connection open if you could get one started, but starting one was hit or miss. |

I figured it out when machines that worked completely fine started freaking out on their upgrade to 14.04, and their change of IP to the new 10. network, which is the only network I had any issues on. |

Turn that config off, ssh is rock solid. Only took several harried hours mid upgrade to think to turn that off. |
