Quick opinion question. bshum and I were chatting at ALA and he opinioned that pgtap tests for has_table and has_view tests would be good to have. Drudgery to write but good to have. I'd be willing to write them if they'd be useful. |

RoganH: That does sound useful in a “You have a sane database, you’re off to a good start” kind of way. It shouldn’t be too difficult to build, a couple carefully constructed queries from INFORMATION_SCHEMA and you’re halfway there. |

when you have users that do not have a user setting for opac.hold_notify, their notification preferences in tpac can get confusing. loading them shows something that is different from reality, and saving that view can result in a change of behavior without the user having modified any settings. |

i can fix that at the template layer, but when i do that, users without an opac.hold_notify setting can't turn off all notification options unless they first do something that creates an opac.hold_notify setting (like hitting save with the defaults) |
