09:11 * pinesol_green brews and pours a cup of Guatemala La Conception, and sends it sliding down the bar to mmorgan
09:11 mmorgan Thank you!
09:12 * mmorgan inhales the aroma, returns the favor:)
09:12 mmorgan @coffee kmlussier
09:12 * pinesol_green brews and pours a cup of People's Daily Espresso, and sends it sliding down the bar to kmlussier
09:12 kmlussier :)
09:13 kmlussier I could use some coffee. Testing the negative balances branch this morning.
09:13 mmorgan That definitely requires coffee!!
09:21 jwoodard I do not even know who our patrons keep getting negative balances.
09:22 jwoodard Every week there are a few more. I think EG is just messing with me...

09:30 kmlussier There will be great joy in Evergreenland when the negative balances branch is merged.
09:31 * mmorgan is not known for happy dances, but will make an exception for that event :)
09:40 Dyrcona @coffee kmlussier
09:40 * pinesol_green brews and pours a cup of Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Addis Ketema North Italian Espresso Roast, and sends it sliding down the bar to kmlussier
09:41 kmlussier Dyrcona: Thank you!
09:41 kmlussier I wish pinesol_green's coffee translated into real coffee.
09:42 Dyrcona We have 3D printers but no replicators, yet.
09:43 remingtron Dyrcona: I suppose wifi coffee makers would be a reasonable midterm solution
09:44 mmorgan "Freshly replicated coffee" doesn't sound that appealing to me anyway.
09:48 Dyrcona heh
09:49 Dyrcona remingtron: Yes, I can imagine the spam sent from a coffee maker....Get more beans, now!
09:49 csharp @eightball will pinesol_green accept only Keurig 2.0 cups?
09:49 pinesol_green csharp: The outlook is hazy, please ask again later.
09:49 Dyrcona Though there is a documented case of a networked refrigerator sending spam already.
09:49 csharp coffee_drm--
09:55 jwoodard I d not think I can accept being spammed by my appliances.

09:55 jwoodard Apparently I need more tea this morning as the typos are legion.
09:56 csharp @dunno search dave
09:56 pinesol_green csharp: No matching dunnos were found.
10:12 Dyrcona Heh. "I can't let you do that, Dave."
10:13 gsams "I'm sorry Dave, you can't have that ice cream."
10:13 Dyrcona Actually, "I'm sorry Dave. I can't do that."
10:15 Dyrcona @dunno add I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.
10:15 pinesol_green Dyrcona: The operation succeeded.  Dunno #41 added.
10:15 Dyrcona "Dave, this conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye."
10:15 Dyrcona That is some chilling dialog given the context.

10:55 Dyrcona berick: I've been walking alot this morning.
10:55 Dyrcona It's a long haul to the server room.
11:14 Dyrcona And off we go, again. ;)
11:19 kmlussier Dyrcona: It's good for you. :)
11:29 Dyrcona Frustrating.
11:30 Dyrcona Wasted my morning on Ubuntu installation media that doesn't work.
11:32 Dyrcona I shall regale you while I wait for the DVD writer to be brought to me.
11:32 Dyrcona First, we had a stick that we used before, but someone stuck it in Windows and Windows "repaired" it.
11:32 Dyrcona So that was 1 wasted trip.
11:32 miker Dyrcona: use debian! also, get off my lawn ;)
11:33 Dyrcona Then I spent some time trying to repartition it, etc. But the GUI tools refused because of the busted partition tables.
11:33 Dyrcona Off *your* lawn? ;)
11:34 Dyrcona So we manually blew out the partition table.
11:34 jeff unapi db functions are not exposed via anything other than cstore, are they?
11:34 Dyrcona Formatted it, used Startup Disk Creator, and all seemed good.
11:34 Dyrcona Went to install, and it can't find the "CD-ROM."
11:35 Dyrcona jeff: storage, mabye?
11:35 Dyrcona maybe, even...
11:35 Dyrcona maybe not..... :(
11:36 jeff I guess I could re-phrase... are unapi db functions exposed via any public methods (other than "TPAC is a public method")?
11:37 buzzy joined #evergreen
11:38 jeff there is the "unapi" that BibTemplate used, which is part of SuperCat, but I don't think that actually uses the unapi db functions.
11:39 Dyrcona Don't think so, but miker would probably know for sure.
11:39 jboyer-isl Dyrcona: Sounds like you need iLO (or whatever Dell calls their thing) It's so nice being able to installon bare metal from an ISO on your desktop.

11:41 Dyrcona Meh. I'm gonna burn a CD.
11:42 Dyrcona My frustration level is kind a high at the moment, though.

11:45 miker jeff: https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1367926 .. so, not yet. I'll update that bug, actually ... the request that Stompro makes at the end is "future development"

11:46 krvmga i'm feeling a little confused over copy statuses. if an item is Missing, should the "Sets copy active" checkbox still be checked?
11:46 jeff miker++ more bug deja vu
11:47 jeff meaning, "right! i've looked at that bug/branch before!"
11:49 krvmga i think yes
11:50 mmorgan krvmga: I would say no, though I think it's unlikely that Missing would be the status that sets the active date for an item.
11:55 jeff random thought... in classic json serialization of fieldmapper objects, __c == "class", would __p be "properties" or "payload" or "the __p stands for __p"?
11:55 jeff i guess the variable is JSON_PAYLOAD_KEY
11:55 jeff so, payload.
11:58 kmlussier krvmga: I agree with mmorgan, but I also don't think it would cause any problems to have that checkbox checked for Missing status. By the time it's missing, it should already have an active date.
11:59 kmlussier miker: If you update the LP bug, I'll be happy to look at it again. I think my problem is I wasn't sure if what I was seeing was expected or not. Or jeff can look at it too. :)
11:59 miker kmlussier: I'm adding a comment now :)
12:01 miker jeff: right, it's "the class instance payload which will be turned into instance members" for arry-ish objects

12:43 krvmga when i do a search in the staff client, logged in as though i'm a marlborough staff member BUT i've set my preferred search library to be the Berkshire Athenaeum in Pittsfield
12:43 krvmga ...stay with me...i'm going somewhere with this
12:43 krvmga i search for the divergent dvd and the results show 0 of 1 copy available in Pittsfield
12:44 krvmga but Pittsfield has one copy in process and one copy missing.
12:44 krvmga if i do the same search, logged in as if i'm a pittsfield staff member, the results show 0 of 2 copies available in Pittsfield
12:44 krvmga why the difference depending on which library i'm logged in as?
12:45 krvmga is this normal behavior?
12:46 krvmga in other words, as the marlborough staff member doing a staff client search, i see for pittsfield what a patron would see in the opac. i don't see any opac invisible copy status.
12:47 krvmga (we've set lost, missing, damaged to be opac not visible)
12:47 kmlussier krvmga: I understand the question, I just don't know the answer. :)
12:47 krvmga one might say, why do you want to see the missing pittsfield item? that's logical.
12:48 krvmga i'm just trying to figure out if this is expected behavior or indicative of something else.
12:49 krvmga (actually one might say why would _marlborough_ want to see the missing pittsfield item?)
12:49 krvmga i know staff sometimes want to place a hold on a particular copy but you would never be looking for a missing item to place a hold on...
12:50 krvmga i think this is a rational behavior for staff client search. i just want to be sure it's intended.
12:50 krvmga if i'm at a library, i do want to see my missing items.
12:51 krvmga if i'm at another library A, why would i be searching for library B's missing item in a catalog search?
13:00 miker krvmga: what you're seeing looks to be the expected outcome, per the code, when there's a pref_lib set.
13:00 krvmga miker: thx :)
13:02 miker krvmga: pointers into the code in question: grep -r plib_copy_counts Open-ILS/src/templates/opac/parts/*

13:09 jeff miker: given release notes and review (i can find tuits for that), any reason you can think of that bug 1367926 wouldn't be ready for 2.9?
13:09 pinesol_green Launchpad bug 1367926 in Evergreen "Add support for (nearly) direct access to the full unapi backend" (affected: 2, heat: 10) [Wishlist,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1367926
13:12 miker jeff: if you want to look into why the alternate formats don't work for bre, that'd be cool, but honestly, I'd be 100% happy with getting just marcxml going ... the benefits to the tpac could be big (it's much faster to go (more) direct), and it's a friendlier API for external harvesting (give a set of bre IDs)

14:01 yboston #info yboston is Yamil Suarez @ Berklee College of Music - DIG meeting facilitator
14:02 Stompro #info Stompro = Josh Stompro, LARL
14:02 yboston they day beofre a long weekend in the summer, might not be the best time to hold a meeting :)
14:02 kmlussier #info kmlussier is Kathy Lussier, MassLNC
14:03 alynn26 #info alynn26 is Lynn Floyd, Anderson County Library, SCLENDS
14:04 yboston OK, folks lets start
14:04 yboston #topic Updates from Content Coordinators
14:04 yboston if there is anything to report
14:04 yboston ?
14:04 kmlussier I don't think I have anything
14:05 yboston OK, we can move on
14:05 yboston #topic last meeting's action items
14:05 yboston #info 1) yboston will reach out to krvmga for another copy of his docs to push to master
14:06 kmlussier Did I see that Stompro was going to work on those docs now?
14:06 yboston I have not spoken to krvmga about it again
14:06 yboston that is what I thought?
14:06 Stompro I was going to work on the older added content by ID items.
14:06 yboston I thought krvmga had a work in progress
14:06 yboston in case you wanted to ask krvmga for it to help you
14:06 yboston but I could be wrong
14:07 remingtron looks like krvmga still has the Content Cafe item from 2.7, according to the 2.8 needs page
14:07 kmlussier I know he started working on them at the DIG hackaway, but I don't know how far he got.
14:07 yboston Stompro: do you want to follow up with him?
14:08 Stompro Sure, I'll do that.
14:08 remingtron Stompro: if krvmga just wants to give you a link to his in-progress stuff, you could post it to the wiki page
14:08 remingtron #link http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=evergreen-docs:2.8_needs
14:09 yboston what should the action item be? not sure of what the content target is?
14:09 remingtron the 2.7 item is called "Content Cafe Added Content Update "
14:10 yboston for example, shoudl it be… #action Stompro will work on the older added content by ID items and get work in progress from jim?
14:11 remingtron yboston: the added content item already has Stompro's name by it, so I'd leave that off for now
14:11 remingtron just "follow up with jim" seems fine to me
14:11 yboston so just … #action Stompro will work on  "Content Cafe Added Content Update "?
14:12 yboston (for some reason I have always been confused by this bit of docuentation)
14:12 yboston *documentation
14:13 Stompro Caution, contents may be added content.
14:14 yboston again, I am still confused, and continue to be confused by this particualr bit on documentation.
14:14 yboston can someone suggest what the action item text is for this?
14:14 yboston thankfully this does not happen often, but it always happens with this bit
14:15 kmlussier Stompro will follow up with krvmga on Added Content documentation?
14:15 Stompro I'm currently not assigned to look at the content cafe stuff, just the added content by ID... kmlussier, looks good to me.
14:15 yboston kmlussier: thanks
14:15 yboston #action Stompro will follow up with krvmga on Added Content documentation
14:16 alynn26 that works
14:16 yboston my apologies
14:16 yboston moving on, unless there is soemthign else to be said about this ?
14:16 remingtron go ahead
14:17 yboston #info 2) kmlussier will complete the marc stream importer work and check on the status of the RDA docs
14:17 yboston no worries if there is no update
14:17 kmlussier I got as far as pulling out the marc stream importer notes that I'm planning to use for the documentation. So that's progress.
14:17 kmlussier But, otherwise, nothing to report.
14:17 yboston cool
14:18 kmlussier Now that ALA is over, I'm hoping to have some time to finish these things up. If I don't by next meeting, I'll release the tasks to somebody else.
14:18 yboston OK
14:18 yboston #info 2) kmlussier will complete the marc stream importer work and check on the status of the RDA docs
14:18 kmlussier #action kmlussier will complete the marc stream importer work and check on the status of the RDA docs
14:18 yboston thanks
14:19 yboston #info 3) remingtron will send out email to list about changing the file suffix in the docs repo to .asciidoc
14:19 remingtron done
14:19 yboston :)
14:19 remingtron people seem to support the idea, no major concerns that I've heard
14:19 yboston now we need volunteers to try out the change
14:19 kmlussier remingtron++ #Completing your action items!
14:19 yboston remingtron++
14:20 remingtron kmlussier: thanks, it was easier than documentation :)
14:20 alynn26 Remingtron++
14:20 remingtron should we consider it "decided"? or do we need to discuss it at a larger DIG meeting?
14:20 yboston good question
14:21 remingtron I think we can call it decided, just wanted to ask all of you for any last concerns
14:21 Stompro I would consider it decided, charge forward.
14:21 yboston I think it is decided, just because the list has a larger audience
14:21 yboston than most meetings
14:21 alynn26 as someone who uses adoc extension, and from the discussion I say decided
14:21 kmlussier Yes, if somebody had a concern, they should have raised it on the list.
14:21 yboston we could send out a final email to say that this is the last call to back out
14:21 remingtron #agreed We will move forward with changing docs files to use the .adoc extension
14:22 alynn26 #agree
14:22 * kmlussier will do her best to break old habits.
14:22 yboston I would still send another reply to that thread to anounce the change or send in a new email
14:22 remingtron yboston: sure, give me that action item
14:22 yboston also, I would have liked to get feedback from Robert about testing out the change
14:22 remingtron yboston: and another for phase 2: testing
14:22 yboston remingtron: I will give you an action item
14:23 yboston OK
14:23 yboston #action remingtron will send out an email to the Dig list anouncing that a new file extension will be used for AsciiDoc files
14:24 remingtron #info The dev docs already include one .adoc file that I added
14:24 yboston did you want to right out the testing action item or feed me your suggestions?
14:24 remingtron #link http://docs.evergreen-ils.org/dev/_library_settings_editor.html
14:24 remingtron yboston: sure...
14:24 yboston sorry, that should have said "write out"
14:25 yboston remingtron: also,w ould you liek help in the testing? should we have a seconf action item to reach out to robert?
14:25 remingtron remingtron will begin testing use of and conversion to the .adoc extension
14:25 remingtron I'll email Robert
14:25 yboston #action remingtron will begin testing use of and conversion to the .adoc extension
14:25 remingtron as part of my testing phase
14:26 remingtron and I'll email the list if I want help, or when phase 3 is ready
14:26 remingtron (which is probably the big switch)
14:26 remingtron I won't do anything crazy without warning :)
14:26 yboston anything else on this topic?
14:28 yboston OK, moving on
14:28 yboston #info 4) all update the 2.8 outstanding features list; remove names of those that cannot continue working on assignment; post completed or incomplete files
14:28 remingtron #link http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=evergreen-docs:2.8_needs
14:29 yboston remingtron++ for updating the wiki after ESI made their updates
14:29 remingtron #info The 2.8 docs wiki page includes sections of remaining needs from past versions
14:30 yboston remingtron++
14:30 yboston Should we try to pick up the items that are still pending?
14:30 yboston among us here? and / or ask on the list?
14:30 remingtron yboston: what do you mean?
14:31 alynn26 I would ask on the list to see if anyone has any of it documented already.
14:31 yboston sorry, I mean of version 2.8?
14:31 remingtron reassign things that are assigned by have stalled?
14:31 yboston remingtron: that too, reassigned or prod people
14:32 remingtron it would be great to have a progress report from everyone about their 2.8 assignments
14:32 alynn26 I would prod people
14:32 remingtron include saying "there's no shame in sharing half-finished files"
14:32 kmlussier I have a git branch with a work-in-progress on my two pieces. I'll take a look at it to see how much work is left to be done.
14:32 remingtron "or removing your name"
14:32 yboston should we email people directly or sned a general email to the list
14:32 yboston ?
14:32 remingtron email the list sounds good
14:33 alynn26 I would say both
14:33 kmlussier Possibly followed up with direct emails?
14:33 remingtron there you go, both it is!
14:33 remingtron who wants to do it?
14:33 kmlussier I can do that
14:33 yboston remingtron: good point on the half finsished files, that is always good
14:33 alynn26 kmlussier++
14:34 yboston kmlussier++
14:35 yboston action draft: kmlussier will send out an email to DIG list to request updates on unfinsished 2.8 new features?

14:35 remingtron yboston: you're a pro
14:35 remingtron at drafting action items
14:35 yboston except when it comes to that added contant thing
14:35 yboston *content
14:35 remingtron yboston: well, that's a confusing topic
14:35 yboston #action kmlussier will send out an email to DIG list to request updates on unfinsished 2.8 new features
14:36 yboston #idea all will follow up with direct emails to request updates on unfinsished 2.8 new features or to ask for works in progress
14:36 yboston so far so good?
14:37 remingtron hm, all will do that?
14:37 remingtron better if only one person does?
14:37 kmlussier Yeah, I can take that one too.
14:37 kmlussier Otherwise, we might have three people contacting one person.
14:37 alynn26 kmlussier++

14:38 kmlussier Does more work need to be done on the discoverability enhancements?
14:38 kmlussier I see a lot of subtopics with no names.
14:38 yboston #action kmlussier will follow up with direct emails to request updates on unfinsished 2.8 new features or to ask for works in progress
14:39 yboston yes, that topic is a bit of a rabbit hole
14:39 remingtron kmlussier: right, I think most are not documented yet
14:39 yboston I spoke to Stompro and remingtron about it
14:39 remingtron the release notes are pretty long, could just drop those in somewhere?
14:39 remingtron yboston: what did we decide?
14:39 yboston one of them suggested that we shoudl start a new section on semantic web to collect a lot of those new features
14:40 kmlussier I would be in favor of moving the release notes into hte main docs.
14:40 yboston in one place, since that might make more sense than trying to shoe-horn them in other palces
14:40 yboston kmlussier++ what an awsome AND simple idea
14:41 alynn26 Release notes++
14:41 kmlussier yboston: It really was remingtron's idea, so...
14:41 kmlussier remingtron++
14:41 remingtron kmlussier: thanks for the credit :)
14:41 yboston remingtron++ kmlussier++
14:42 yboston I can move the content over to a new section, though I may turn to the list for feedback
14:42 remingtron Stompro: where did you put your Opensearch docs?
14:42 Stompro In the current opensearch section, it was just a matter of changing a screenshot and adding one sentence.
14:43 Stompro http://docs.evergreen-ils.org/2.8/_adding_opensearch_to_firefox_browser.html
14:44 remingtron yboston: go ahead, whoever does the work gets to decide how it's done :)
14:44 remingtron Stompro: thanks for the link
14:44 yboston remingtron: I absolutely agree witht hat, but I welcome the feedback
14:45 yboston #action yboston will move the undocumented content of the 2.8 new feature "TPAC Discoverability Enhancements" to its own section in the docs
14:45 yboston abything else on this topic?
14:46 remingtron nope
14:46 yboston I am excited how close we are to being done with 2.8
14:46 remingtron yboston: me too!
14:46 kmlussier And then 2.9 is right around the corner. :)
14:46 remingtron dig hackfest helped a lot
14:46 yboston :)
14:46 alynn26 :P
14:46 yboston #info 6) remingtron will contact Robert Sooullier about updating the docs sites to match the footer of the regular EG site; also to add the CC icon
14:46 remingtron I forgot all about that!
14:47 remingtron we decided that it's fine to move forward with the footer change, right?
14:47 yboston I thought so
14:47 remingtron great, I'll send that memo off to Robert
14:47 yboston cool
14:48 yboston #action remingtron will contact Robert Soullier about updating the docs sites to match the footer of the regular EG site; also to add the CC icon
14:48 yboston may I move on? (I have a meeting at 3)
14:48 remingtron go ahead
14:48 yboston #info 7) kmlussier will add an agenda item tot he web team about updating the doc site footers to match the main site footer, as well as include the CC icon
14:48 kmlussier We haven't had a web team meeting
14:48 yboston OK
14:49 yboston #action kmlussier will add an agenda item tot he web team about updating the doc site footers to match the main site footer, as well as include the CC icon
14:49 yboston OK, I have 8 more minutes to be at this meeting
14:49 yboston any other topics we want to cover?
14:50 remingtron only if people want to volunteer for another 2.8 todo item
14:50 yboston for example: web docs; re-org?
14:51 remingtron wait...it looks like all of the 2.8 items are assigned!
14:51 remingtron anyway, that's all from me for now
14:52 yboston one quick topic I wanted to bring up was something Stompro broguht up to me
14:53 yboston He asked me why there was no makefile target for building the docs to HTML
14:53 yboston we are quite far away from doing that, but I look forward to having that available
14:54 Stompro I just sent robert an email asking for an updated dump of the build process so I can take a look at it.
14:54 yboston cool
14:54 yboston I have not heard back from gmcharlt
14:54 gmcharlt hmm?
14:54 yboston about the status of the new DIG VM
14:54 gmcharlt ah, right - y'all will have it by Tuesday
14:54 yboston that would give us expereince on how to build the docs
14:55 remingtron gmcharlt: hurray!
14:55 yboston gmcharlt++
14:55 Stompro Vacation reply from Rober says he is out until after July 20th BTW.
14:55 yboston good to know
14:55 yboston Stompro++
14:55 remingtron Stompro: thanks for letting us know
14:55 alynn26 Thanks
14:55 yboston I hope I learn how to build th docs y myself in HTML & PDF from the experience of helping create the new DIG VM
14:56 yboston so I need to run off to another meeting
14:56 yboston any last thoughts/comments?
14:56 remingtron yboston: nope, thanks for leading!
14:56 remingtron yboston++
14:56 Stompro yboston++
14:56 alynn26 ybostom++
14:56 yboston thank you all

15:39 jboyer-isl java--
15:39 jboyer-isl Been wrecking my whole day.
15:47 miker jboyer-isl: as is its wont, sir. as is its wont
15:49 jboyer-isl Add in Windows Server 2K3 and Adobe Connect and there aren't enough fingers to point at all of the causes of issues.
15:49 jboyer-isl miker: write once, crash anywhere.
15:50 Dyrcona @dunno
15:50 pinesol_green Dyrcona: What we have here is a failure to communicate.
15:51 ericar_ joined #evergreen
16:05 Dyrcona It's a bug, not a feature.
16:06 bshum Wow, my first report ever killed by PG 9.3's temp_file_limit.
16:06 bshum ERROR: temporary file size exceeds temp_file_limit (10485760kB)
16:06 bshum Whoever wanted to run a 10 GB report, goodness...
16:08 jwoodard 10GB? O_O
16:08 bshum I think that's what that error means.  Is that it collected out at least that much in size before PG killed it for being too large.
16:09 bshum I'm trying to get a capture of the query now from the logs.
16:09 alynn26 I've done 5GB
16:09 jboyer-isl Aw, missed Dyrcona before I could post this: https://twitter.com/IMGoph/status/616601133767725057
16:11 jboyer-isl bshum: temp files are for sorting if your RAM settings can't handle it all, so it was possibly well over 10GB.
16:11 jboyer-isl "Can't handle it all" - very technical. Anyway, temp files are usually used for sorting as I understand it.
16:12 bshum All temp files used by a given PG session.
16:12 bshum Hmm
16:13 bshum Yeah, that means that one query went bonkers I guess.
16:17 kmlussier Heh, I like that tweet. :D
16:19 kmlussier jboyer-isl++
16:20 bshum Huh
16:20 bshum http://pastie.org/10270549 -- part of the query capture from the log
16:20 bshum I wonder why it seems to join asset.copy to itself
16:21 bshum call_number to copy, copy to call_number, that seems unhelpful
16:21 * bshum hates reports
16:24 alynn26 There is a loop happening.
16:24 bshum Yeah, that's what it seems like
16:25 alynn26 That will cause your excessive temp files.
16:25 bshum Yep
16:25 bshum alynn26++
16:26 * mmorgan hates it when the database gets dizzy ;-)
16:26 alynn26 LOL mmorgan
16:27 jwoodard surely someone loves reports?
16:27 bshum @whocares reports
16:27 pinesol_green csharp, bshum, rfrasur and RoganH hate reports
16:27 alynn26 I do. I really do.
16:28 * mmorgan respects and admires the Reporter interface but doesn't get along with it very well personally.
16:29 * alynn26 loves reports
16:30 jwoodard I lose a little more of myself each time I close the reports interface.
16:32 alynn26 its all in how you pull the data out.  Sometimes you get what you want, and sometimes you go back and get more than you want to get what you want.
16:32 alynn26 Well it is a love hate relationship.
16:35 kmlussier I know people who love reports. They just don't spend much time in here.
16:36 kmlussier @later tell Dyrcona I finall got around to posting those billing test cases I promised you. http://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=qa:billing_test_cases
16:36 pinesol_green kmlussier: The operation succeeded.
16:36 kmlussier Oh, so sad to see a typo in an @later and to have no way to fix it. :(
16:37 mmorgan I think those who have access to query the database directly generally don't like having to dig through the extra layers in the reporter to get the data they need.
16:38 mmorgan But for users that don't have direct db access it's hugely powerful.
16:38 * kmlussier will be posting feedback to bug 1198465 shortly, but unfortunately needs to run an errand first.
16:38 pinesol_green Launchpad bug 1198465 in Evergreen "Support for Conditional Negative Balances" (affected: 17, heat: 80) [Wishlist,Confirmed] https://launchpad.net/bugs/1198465 - Assigned to Dan Wells (dbw2)
16:38 kmlussier Have a nice weekend everyone!
16:38 mmorgan Happy Fourth!!
16:39 jwoodard I love getting a report working its the "getting it to work" part where I start losing the love. Thankfully I have not been asked to create a complex report for awhile.
17:10 Bmagic Has anyone had a scenario where renewing an item results in an error saying that the item has a status of "reshelving" and cannot renew without override?
17:11 bshum Bmagic: That might be https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1018011
17:11 pinesol_green Launchpad bug 1018011 in Evergreen "Incorrect copy status caused by reshelving process colliding with item checkout" (affected: 5, heat: 24) [Medium,Confirmed]
17:11 bshum Where an item was due to be reshelved, and is instead checked out
17:11 bshum How often are you running reshelving?
17:11 gsams @love reports
17:11 pinesol_green gsams: The operation succeeded.  gsams loves reports.
17:12 gsams because it serves an important purpose that I stand behind
17:12 pinesol_green Incoming from qatests: Test Success - http://testing.evergreen-ils.org/~live/test.html <http://testing.evergreen-ils.org/~live/test.html>
17:12 bshum Actually that's odd, it should have changed status to checked out or available in that case.
17:12 bshum I've never seen an item have a status of reshelving where it was checked out to someone.
17:12 bshum Maybe bad SQL gone awry?
17:12 gsams I can't say that I've ever seen that happen myself, and we get all sorts of weird stuff
17:13 alynn26 I've seen it happen, just not recently.
17:13 alynn26 @love reports
17:13 pinesol_green alynn26: The operation succeeded.  alynn26 loves reports.
17:13 gsams @whocares reports
17:13 pinesol_green gsams and alynn26 love reports
17:13 pinesol_green csharp, bshum, rfrasur and RoganH hate reports
17:13 mmorgan left #evergreen
17:14 gsams yay, the balance is real
17:15 alynn26 I am thinking back, and the time I remember seeing it is when the reshelving interval was over with and the checkout happened at the same time.  The two seperate processes happened with in seconds of each other.
17:16 alynn26 I should say microseconds.
17:16 Bmagic bshum: I thought it was that, but, wait, yeah the auditor table is telling me whats up
17:20 Bmagic bshum: the item went from checked out -> reshelving -> available -> reshelving (at this point it's circed)
17:24 jwoodard @love reports
17:24 pinesol_green jwoodard: The operation succeeded.  jwoodard loves reports.
17:24 Bmagic bshum: Something different is happening here because the circ happend weeks after it was put back to available. When the circ happend, the item was available and apparently, the circ caused the status to move to reshelving!
17:24 jwoodard grudgingly
17:28 Bmagic Is it possible for a circed item to get a status of reshelving?
