14:07 |

I used to work at a library that had machines with eye tracking software that would automatically change window focus for folks with special access needs. I always thought that would be a neat feature on pcs. |
14:07 |
RoganH |
Those used an infrared light and camera and mapped the shape of your eye and how it moved. |
14:08 |

Sounds like fun when you are trying to look at documentation while you type. Which is why I said "where I want you to" not "where I am looking" ;) |

linuxhiker |
I am able to duplicate it on centos 5.10 as well |
14:55 |
Dyrcona |
linuxhiker: What do you do to reproduce it? |
14:55 |
linuxhiker |
Dyrcona: attempt to log in with the staff client (srfsh works perfectly) |
14:55 |
Dyrcona |
Oh. I see. I thought you did something specific on the server. |
14:56 |
Dyrcona |
linuxhiker: What dojo did you install? |
14:56 |
linuxhiker |
Dyrcona: let me ask |
14:57 |
linuxhiker |
Dyrcona: I should note that I can duplicate on 2.4 (not 2.5 as the OP posted) |
14:57 |
linuxhiker |
Dyrcona: apparently 1.3.3 |
14:57 |
Dyrcona |
a general question: Do the tarballs still include the special dojo 1.3.3 with local hacks? |
14:57 |
bshum |
Dyrcona: I would expect that to be the case. |
14:58 |
Dyrcona |
linuxhiker: OK. That's the right version, but do you know if it came from an Evergreen tarball or from the Dojo web site. |
14:58 |
Dyrcona |
bshum: thanks. that's what I thought, but I don't work in that area of things. |
14:59 |
eeevil |
Dyrcona: I do not believe so. we host a copy of stock dojo, IIRC. we haven't rebuilt the openils dojo layer sinc 1.3.1, again IIRC |
14:59 |
Dyrcona |
eeevil: Ah. Ok. Thanks. |
14:59 |

I guess I'm barking up the wrong tree. |

linuxhiker |
Dyrcona: I thought it might be the version of libmozjs but, precise comes with 1.85 and CentOS 5.10 comes with 1.7, both exhibit the same behavior |
15:06 |
Dyrcona |
linuxhiker: Per the above exchange with eeevil, I'm less sure that dojo is the problem. |
15:06 |
Dyrcona |
linuxhiker: We run it on Precise here and have not had that particular problem. |
15:07 |
linuxhiker |
Dyrcona: we even know exactly which function is causing the problem: http://pastebin.com/DPgZafHu |
15:07 |
linuxhiker |
Dyrcona: what version of JavaScript::SpiderMonkey do you have installed? |
15:08 |
Dyrcona |
linuxhiker: I don't think SpiderMonkey comes into play here. |
15:08 |
Dyrcona |
AFAIK it is only used for legacy circulation scripts. |
15:08 |
linuxhiker |
Dyrcona: oh, well that is good to know |
15:09 |
Dyrcona |
linuxhiker: That function points to a possible fieldmapper issue. Are you sure you've run autogen.sh on the server? Or maybe the javascript fieldmapper has a problem that I've not encountered. |
15:10 |
linuxhiker |
Dyrcona: yes autogen.sh is successful |

15:13 |

15:14 |

linuxhiker: Only thing that I can think of at this point is some problem with the org tree, like missing parent links or some such. |
