Sounds like UTF-8 vs ISO-{something} encoding. I can maybe help later if you don't get it resolved. I have a big/long meeting starting in 10 minutes. |

FWIW, THP is not such a bad thing in modern kernels. but the /real/ fix for older kernels is to just use huge pages (the admin overhead, though, is you have to set them up /a priori/) ... that *is* noted at the end of the THP section, with a link to another post, though. |
