16:43 Bmagic Which is better than what I was getting: Forbidden
16:43 Stompro What version of NCIP does that repo support?
16:43 Dyrcona You have to send it a XML NCIP2 message.
16:44 jeff with the disclaimer that we don't use that code, I do most of my NCIP testing using curl to throw XML files at the NCIP endpoint.
16:44 Dyrcona Stompro: NCIP 2.02, but like all NCIP responders it only responds to a limited subset of NCIP.
16:44 Bmagic thanks yall, it was the RemoteIPHeader stuff that I needed
16:45 Stompro Dyrcona, hmmm, I was told we had to pay OCLC a couple thousand for a v1 to v2 translator service...
16:46 Dyrcona Bmagic: You can try this, edited for your environment: https://gist.github.com/Dyrcona/34f36ba7aacd7b94e31f35c8a54f7f7e
16:46 Stompro Oh, nevermind, it is the other way around, they only support V1, so it is a V2 to V1 translator service.
16:47 Bmagic Dyrcona++ thanks for the perl NCIP test script
16:47 jeff depending on the subset and dialect of NCIP that you need to talk, paying OCLC may or may not make sense for you. It's unclear if that figure you just quotes is one-time or recurring. :-)
16:47 jeff s/quotes/quoted/
16:48 Dyrcona Stompro: Evergreen's NCIPServer really only supports 1 remote vendor: Autographics ILL Product (I forget the product's name).
16:58 Dyrcona Maybe I'll get some time after we move to Mobius hosting to work on some of these cleanup bugs.

20:10 jamin Huh... weird finding.  action.all_circulation records values as they happen, so if the value in other tables for something changes (such as profile for a usr), it won't matter for stats... the value stored in all_circulation stays as it was at the time... correct?
20:11 jamin At least that's how I've understood it.

15:12 JBoyer Take it away, mmorgan
15:12 mmorgan Just wanted to keep this on the radar.
15:12 mmorgan We're really missing this feature!
15:12 terranm FYI, I noticed during this BSW that we're running low on bug fixes that can really be tested from the client side. Many of the remaining patches need review from the developers
15:13 terranm mmorgan++ we had to hide the buttons in our opac, too
15:13 JBoyer (Kind of) a good problem to have.
15:14 mmorgan miker's patch works for the staff catalog, but doesn't help opac users :-(
15:15 JBoyer Does anyone have time to take a look at bug 1955079, possibly using miker's staff fix as a template as to how to address the opac?

13:14 Dyrcona Hmm. Lp doesn't refresh, and I missed miker's comment on lp 1931737 today. Now that I think about it, I wonder how backporting that bug to 3.7 and then upgrading to 3.8 is going to work. I suppose I can always test that after the ingest finishes.

13:16 Dyrcona I don't have to test it. It's going to remove the fix if 1298 gets applied after whatever the fix for the above bug is. This means the patch for 3.8 needs a different upgrade number for the patch in 3.7, so it will apply over it later.

15:29 miker berick: IMO, if a committer is really confident that the Angular port is at parity with the previous version, and that previous version is dojo, I think there's a strong argument that dojo UIs are "bugs" that need to be squashed. (fwiw, I'd add the YAOUS editor to the list for committer review on that same basis).  There are Angular UIs that have gone in without parity (esp some admin interfaces) and I think we should avoid that happening post-beta.
15:30 miker (I don't mean this release cycle has examples of those, but earlier.  like the record attr stuff that IIRC is missing a way to manage composite attrs)

12:23 JBoyer It may be better to just create those empty dirs and drop a .placeholder in them so they can just be committed and not special-cased.
12:24 JBoyer Though I guess depending on how explicit the release notes were re: creating those dirs yourself I can see some appeal to auto-creating them somehow. Not a big fan though.
12:40 * Dyrcona didn't read the release notes to be honest. I was only looking into it because bshum mentioned that the test was failing to me the other day.
12:42 Dyrcona bshum: I have installed Evergreen before on the VM where I checked, so that may have something to do with the differences in what you and I see. I didn't try on a clean virtual machine.
12:55 Dyrcona bshum: You are correct. The $COVERDIR is not created before the check for its existence in autogen.sh, then it is created when the small, medim, and large subdirectories are created.
12:56 Dyrcona My inclination is to remove the check for the COVERDIR being writable and just let it be created if necessary when the small, medium, and/or large subdirectories are created.

09:28 JBoyer It isn't really ready to test, I was loading something to see what state its in.
09:29 Dyrcona rfrasur: The notification that a person gets when mentioned in channel depends on the client, not the server, so it could be case sensitive, though hopefully it isn't.

09:29 JBoyer Also, alerts aren't case sensitive (for my client) and I also added some additional words to make more noise. ;)

13:27 Dyrcona I always assumed "needstest" means that someone thinks the code should a test added.
13:27 Dyrcona ...should have a test added....
13:29 terranm If it were just "test" then I think people might interpret it a different way. What about sys-test or auto-test or something along those lines?
13:30 Dyrcona Would "tests" plural be better? I'd like to keep it as simple as possible but no simpler. :)
13:33 Dyrcona We could go nuts and add pg-test, pg-live-test, perl-test, and perl-live-test, since we do have the 4 kinds of tests. Then I guess we could add tags for angular-test and angularjs-test. Do we have any more?
14:11 JBoyer If there's a need for an LP tag for bugs in tests how about 'testbugs'? covers the bases without being too easily confused with needstest or similar.
14:28 Dyrcona testbugs sounds good to me.
14:31 terranm okay, I'll add it

16:06 Dyrcona I wanted: git rev-list -n4 --reverse lp1847805
16:07 Dyrcona Guess I'll have to continue this tomorrow....
16:08 Dyrcona mmorgan++
16:13 Dyrcona Hmm... Now that I've gotten the code to apply to one test machine it isn't working for me there. I'll test it again tomorrow before I update bug 1847805.
